The Swordfish is so good, and the beer selection is incredible.

Dinner was excellent and the service was much better than expected. I had the calamari plus the white seabass with two sides. My love had the lemon crusted mahi mahi. We both found dinner to be excellent.

Sad somebody can't even cook a steak right medium well and I get nothing but a bloody mess last time I go here

Great seafood, hostess was friendly and quick. We was satisfied

The New England Clam Chowder was really good as was the cilantro lime salad. I was only sad that the avocado on top of my salad was covered in brown spots. Other than that, the service was great, they are kid friendly and the location is perfect if you're checking out tourist attractions in the area.

Waited about 30-40 mins on Sunday dinner, toured around the Hotel Del when waiting so it's not bad. The service was really good.

Rock lobster was amazing with the scalloped potatoes! Fish tacos were nice and crunchy...great location too

We came here for happy hour. We enjoyed the house red wine the food was very good nice service. The area for happy hour was a little small but we still really enjoyed it.

Oysters on the half with a chopped shallot vinegar to pair with or lemon. Delicious! Shared a wonderful dish of Chiopino (fish, shrimp, clams, mussels and scallops ) with sourdough bread. Fantastic meal and bay view.

They offer a very affordable cook your catch option that is awesome!

Burnt clams. Disappointing drinks. The entrees were actually objectionable. The burnt clams for the worst. It's one thing to serve bad food, it's another thing to ruin it and have it be clearly ruined that yet still serve it.

Was looking forward to a nice meal, but the fish was very mushy. Service was great however.

Perfect patio lunch to catch the sun, water view, and good seafood. We attended a Change of Command at North Island Naval Base, a moving patriotic ceremony, and came to Bluewater to celebrate our friend's successful Naval career. The food , service and harbor view was great. Gary is a superb server and we learned he is a former Marine. We had an enjoyable conversation with Gary and Kristy

Great option for seafood lunch away from the crowds at the Hotel Del. Loved the rare ahi sandwich with pickled ginger and super spicy wasabi sauce. Also ordered the shrimp cilantro quinoa salad bowl. Nice wine and cocktail selection. If the upstairs bar is open try to get a seat - it s small but best view.

Terrible customer service. Terrible manager. Absolutely this place is downhill. Was super hot inside. We were all burning up but we obviously didn t order enough to sit outside when the place was empty.

Food was good, service was awful, the waiter was very rude and took way too long to come back to our table, he seemed impatient and annoyed with me and my party of 4. He charged us an extra wine then said ok dont pay for it, very dissatisfied. Will not be back. This was my first time visiting the area for training with my job.

Not so good food or service. Way over priced for the poor quality of food. My wife couldnt finish her lobster because it was so over cooked. No wonder none of the locals eat here. It is a nice location but the poor quality of the food and lack of service make it a lousy place to eat.

After serving in the Navy and driving past this restaurant for over a year, I looked forward to being able to eat there when I could actually afford it. 10 years later and with my new wife, I finally went. Wow - what a mistake! Our waiter treated us like we were inconveniencing him by coming in.. he smelled of cigarettes and looked like a used car salesman. He loudly tossed silverware on our table and served us lack-luster food... Then the busboy loudly cleared the tables next to us by tossing plates and silverware into his dish tub.. What a joke of a "Nice restaurant".. Save your money - go somewhere else!!! 10 years of waiting - what a frickin disappointment!!

The food and service here was really good. Due to covid-19 you cannot eat in the restaurant but you are allowed to eat on the patio which blocked the wind and sun.

I tried the crabcakes, scallops, blackened swordfish, shrimp, and cod. All of it was delicious. The blackened swordfish was amazing and so fresh. The bloody Mary is delicious too.

Bread and appetizer were great. Entree....super disappointed

My wife and I had lunch here a few years back.It was a pleasant experience.

Did not like the fact I had to pay extra for my sides. and I wanted the asparagus grilled they brought boiled asparagus twice after having been told. What got me was the fact that my wifes meal (which was great) her brussel sprouts were cooked on a grill exactly how I wanted my asparagus. The service was so-so. The fish was good. Wont go again.

I did not realize that this restaurant is part of the Blue Water Grill which I've been to the other locations. Duh, I realized the name when I arrived.

Nice spot for dinner and we dined outside instead of the inside dining area.

I ordered the Chipotle Swordfish and substituted the dirty rice for spinach. The fish was delicious and cooked perfectly.

The service was good too and I'm glad I was able to dine here.

We visited this restaurant in sept of 2019. It was so disappointing. Wonderful scenery, the real estate can t get a whole lot better. The food was prepared with what seemed to be as little effort as possible. Seafood dishes were small, overcooked and lacked a lot of flavor. It was also as expensive as you would expect from a high-end seafood establishment. Overall very disappointing. Service was okay, but not good. Water refills were not to be found - by request only. When asking the server for recommendations we were met with an underwhelming review of all the menu options. I hope it s gotten better and I would try it again if I get the chance to visit Coronado some day. Best of luck to the establishment.

We were staying nearby & saw this restaurant before when renting jetskis in the area. We loved it. Had an excellent seafood & steak dinner in romantic bayside window table with del coronado hotel right outside. Staff was attentive & friendly without being over the top. William gets 5 star plus. Helped us with all our questions. Nice person.

Food was excellent. My wife couldn't stop saying how good the lemon sauce on her fish was. I am an avid steak sauce user. Not a drop of steak sauce touched my plate. Top notch. Highly recommend!

We made reservations to dine here for our anniversary. The staff is so kind and completely attentive to all guests and their requests and needs. They are attentive to making your visit the most perfect and memorable time you can experience in Coronado. Nick the waiter is the most humble and appreciative waiter/bartender/sommelier one could ever want. He is knowledgeable and represents the Bluewater brand as if it was his own. Their seafood is caught fresh daily and the chowders are some of the best in California. They have a phenomenal key lime pie! During this climate of uncertainty when dining out, Bluewater has taken every safety precaution to make their guests and staff safe during your dining experience. The manager and all staff are to be commended for being so amazing and I am so glad we chose Bluewater to celebrate such a beautiful moment for us. Thank you to Derek the manager for making our evening unforgettable! You set the standard for monumental cuisine! Your attention to your staff and customers embodies the type of character I wish all restaurant managers possessed.

I'd never had a seafood cioppino before and it was amazing.

This may very well be one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The Caesar salad is undoubtedly the best I ve ever had, the pepper combined with the homemade dressing is absolutely mouthwatering. I don t really have a description for the potatoes other than they are absolutely amazing. The guy serving us was super kind and welcoming, I really enjoyed his cheerfulness! Couldn t have asked for a better dinner.

My husband brought me for our anniversary dinner here , absolutely delicious fish .We will be coming back.

Best clam chowder on the Island! Fish dishes are very fresh & seasoned well & their steaks are superb. Love eating lunch or dinner on the patio while you're surrounded by the Bay waters.

This place is great. Food is good. They have a few deck tables overlooking the harbor which is pretty. We love taking out of town visitors here. Highly recommend the crab and artichoke dip.

Horrible service. Got one glass of water the whole meal. Swordfish over cooked and dry, potatoes "blackened" aka burnt. Won't be back.

They have a wonderful staff, great scallops, and amazing drinks. It was a great view and perfectly comfortable seating outside with nice hearing lamps for you.

1 hour wait at 5:30 with tables open that could have been sat. Save time and try somewhere else.

Great food, service and ambiance. Beautiful old Coronado architecture, too.

No rush service. The chipotle blackened swordfish entree was great- 5/5. The clam/muscle appetizer was average- 3/5. The calamari appetizer was very salty and had mostly red peppers- 2/5. The brussel sprout side was good but a little oily- 4/5.

Ambiance is great as well as the food. Wonderful porch overlooking Hotel del Coronado and sits on Coronado Bay. We'll be back for sure, recommend for anyone who loves great seafood and coastal views!
