Went whale watching with captain Liz was a lot of fun saw a humpback whale and quite a few common dolphins
A bit on the pricey side but totally worth it. The staff is always super friendly and the food is great. I recommend the clam chowder, 10/10.
My first visit to San Diego. My family and I chose this together. The food was very good. Mike our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this place.
Great! High class food... down home vibe! The sword fish was to die for!
Asked for special service with no garlic plates came with tons of garlic
We ate here tonight, without reservations. Originally we were sat outside, right by the door. We tried to move the chairs to the other side of the table so we weren't backed up against the door. We were told due to Covid the chairs couldn't be move to the other side of the table. I asked to be moved, each host/hostess told me a different excuse as to why we couldn't sit here or there, eventually the last hostess told me because we didn't have reservations we couldn't sit inside! Sitting inside was only a compromise. Yet, she made it sound like we were 2nd class citizens because we didn't have a reservation.
Moving on to the food, & service. The food was ok, not impressive, & definitely not worth their prices. It was very cold outside we asked for the heater near us to be turned on & we were told it was broke. My husband's drink did not get refilled in a timely manner. I would choose anywhere but here next time.
Great veggie and gluten-free options. Fantastic service.
Food was really good, got the gumbo and the catch of the day, scenery when the sun was setting was great... they have heated lamps if you want to sit outside. Service was prompt and helpful with tips for the menu.
Very nice restaurant, a few blocks from the beach and the coronado hotel.
Everything tasted so good! The swordfish was worth getting a second time!
Enjoyed an early dinner of clams. Friend gave me some recommendations to get fish and this looked unique and interesting. We were sat at a table overlooking the water, our server was friendly and attentive, and the food (especially dessert) was delicious. Loved the fact that I got an actual pot for my clams. Great atmosphere to catch up with my friend and spend an afternoon by the water.
Great food. Fast service. The fish tacos served at lunch were great.
This place was alright. Wasn't what the ratings said it would be. Way overpriced for the food you get. The views aren't that great either. It is a regular place that not memorable.
Love this place, always a good time with family and doggies.
food and service was great. wasnt as expensive as i thought. the food to price quality is easily well above average (meaning they could charge alot more for the quality of food they provide) views sitting outside where ok. should habe put the outside area facing the open bay with no view of the street. it was mostly street views with only a little bit of the bay. we will sit outside again the next time we are there as it is still great scenery outside.
Great wine, good food. Nick the bartender is fabulous
Great for view .. but that it .. after the sourdough it s all average food
Awesome food. Loved the oysters and mud pie dessert.
Food was just ok Service wasnt good Had to ask for things serveral times over including a place setting We were a party of 3 and only had 2 place settings Lobster tail was bland and steak very chewy
Gary was awesome in getting our experience as his highest priority.
The food and service here is always excellent, the view isn't too shabby either!
Great bar for grown ups!!
How nice to drop into a grown up bar, especially after a few hours at the beach!!! The seats are cushy and have a substantial back; the bartender - Anthony - knows how to mix a perfect
martini; and my jumbo shrimp were elevated to another level with a mix of cocktail sauce and pesto aioli.
Can't wait to come back for dinner!!
Make sure you make a reservation if you want to sit by the window. This the is the home of the BLTA (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Avocado) with lobster.
Excellent customer service and the meal was spot on...
What a gem! Great ambient by the water with impeccable service and great selection of tasty cuisine. Seafood gumbo here is delicious.
First of all, the location can't be beat. It's right on the water in Coronado. Prices are reasonable the wait staff is friendly and efficient, however the food is kind of lacking. I was really hoping for an amazing Seafood experience. Ordered the sand dabs, they tasted fishy they had the skin on they were lightly Road in a very Bland sauce. The sourdough bread they serve is exceptionally good, but the meal was disappointing
Was in SD on vacation and stumbled upon this place. The drinks were good and the San Francisco Cioppino with unlimited sourdough was probably one of my top 5 best meals. The waiter, I don't recall his name, was great very attentive but not lingering and pretty funny. Definitely coming back.
We had great service and the food was amazing. My dinner guests gushed about the oysters and said they were the best they've had. I had a delicious swordfish meal. I would definitely go back. It's also close to the Del Coronado or the downtown shopping area. Get the chowder!
Good food and service is excellent but food takes a lot of time
Must like seafood! It's on the bay so it's a beautiful view. Ask to be on the patio it's nice out there. You can look at all the expensive boats and enjoy some delicious seafood. Sunday they have a bloody Mary bar which is always a good idea!
Loved the ambiance and outdoor seating views. The service was excellent considering I was with a large party. We all tried different tacos and enjoyed them all. I knocked off a star because the drinks were watered down.
Worst place we went to. Had a huge piece of plastic in our food. Not to mention the margarita was terrible. The whole place smelled like a sewage plant. Don't sit outside for food. We left. Won't go back. I wouldn't even give them a 1 star if i had the option.
Best oysters I've ever had. Their clam chowder is to die for.
Great Happy Hour selections, both apps and drinks. Very relaxing!
Food was mediocre, BUT what was even worse was that it was my wife's birthday. I let them know in advance when I made the reservation and was told it would be great, "we'll take care of you". NOTHING, I mean nothing showed up. A major let down. A typical chain that preys on the Del Coronado guests and people that do not know. I Do Not recommend this place. Try Chez Loma or Leroy's !
Awesome ambiance. Food was above average but nothing special. Great service
Service was awesome food was excellent they hurried up and made our night it was an excellent experience
Okay food that's decently priced, fantastic location and restaurant facility but unfortunately the service was snail slow from start to finish. Took 50 mins for us to get our first and only serving of they're "unlimited bread" which we instantly devoted from being so hungry since they still hadn't even taken our order... we weren't offered anymore and wasn't served on again until 20 after 9pm ( 9 pm being when they close) extremely disappointed service overall def a place I would highly recommend avoiding.
Great food and reasonable prices. Great memories too.
Freshed swordfish you could have. Service and ambiance were both tops.
Great view of the marina. Impeccable service. Had a great lunch, a bit oversized, but delicious chowder and lobster sandwich!
Exceptional food preparation, good service albeit a bit pushy. When I spend $30 on an entree, I dont want to be encouraged to order other items.
Amazing fish restaurant. Brilliant location and lovely service. Ended up going for dinner and then lunches couple of days later. Not too expensive either.
Delicious, from the appetizers to the entrees to the great selection of wines. Great atmosphere and the staff and establishment are worthy of being called providers of fine dining.
A good place for lunch. Nothing special, the food is ok. Waiters make you wait at times.
Everything we ordered was just perfect. This is a recommended place!
Excellent food, great service and lovely views, this charming waterfront gem made for a great anniversary dinner.
We we delighted to be among the first guests after the place was renovated and reopened in February 2018. We sat near an open window facing the harbor on the second floor. It was pretty great. Would recommend.
Typical chain seafood restaurant. Not as good as the one in Carlsbad.
The wait staff was very good, the food was terrific
Great friendly staff and the food is local and delicious
Everything was perfect from the views, food and service I would call it an easy 5 Star !!!
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!! This will be one of our new Go-to place for a while. Stumbled upon this place and it does not disappoint. The food was fantastic and well presented. It's literally ON the water with a great view of boats, Coronado bridge, Coronado hotel, and more. Derik is the GM and he treated us like special guests. Having a cool conversation and telling us about this building being the oldest and first building on Coronado. He alone made this a great experience, but the awesome waitress, food, building, views, and everything were just so special.
Nick, the bartender, is awesome. Food is outstanding. The hot towels are such a great touch. Thank you Nick and Jesus!!
Our server disappeared, and was not available when we needed him.
We asked a runner to assist us during the meal, and a manger stepped in to clear and bring us dessert menus. We did not have dessert because we were aggravated
When it was time to pay the check our server brought a hand held device and watched us settle the bill. It was EXTREMELY uncomfortable, because we did not have time to look it over. He did not deserve my usual tipping of 20%, but since he stood over me while settling it, I felt like I had to give him a tip of 20%.
So the food was absolutely delicious. The service was lacking. The waiter was super friendly however we got our appetizers after the main course. When we pointed this out it still took some for them to come so obviously they were not put in. I know from our conversation while ordering he heard the order correctly. There was a quick apology but I felt a manager should have come over at the very least or we should have been comped for at least one of our desserts. We also ran out if drinks several times during our meal. The atmosphere and food are the only reason I would try it again.
Great bar on second floor, very good food and drinks
The service and food was excellent. Yummy and THANK YOU
Friendly staff and decent seafood. The menu was a little on the spendy side. This was balanced out by large portions of food. I would recommend sharing some of the fried fish items as they were big enough to share between two people. I enjoyed the clam chowder but it didn't necessarily wow me. Location was cool, sitting next to the docks of the Glorietta Bay. On the second floor we had great views of Coronado.
Food and service was great. The best restaurant that we went to down here.
View cannot be beat and the food is as fresh as it gets. Do not miss this one when you are in San Diego!!
