Cornerstone Church - San Francisco Review

I love this church, it delivers the message in a very unique way

My husband and I first came to Cornerstone in 2012 and knew right off the bat that it was the place for us. We've been here for 7 years now and we love the people, worship, messages, and everything about this community. It doesn't matter what your faith background is, it's welcoming, thoughtful, and encouraging. They love Jesus and love people, and it shows!

The people are welcoming and the atmosphere is warm, all through the year.

Had a great experience here. Fantastic preaching and worship!

I went to Cornerstone church from the time I got to SF which was in Feb up until June and the fellowship of the church brought me to tearsl... I found myself and whats even more important I found my Creator in that place. When I was there I felt the spirit of the Creator in my body and each message was meant for me and was exactly what I needed to hearl. I believe that I was meant to go to SF and I was blessed to have been led to that church and to have renewed my faith when I was at the lowest point in my life. I will forever remember the Church where my faith was reborn and I was moved by the wonderful atmosphere and loving congrigation. Thank you all for making me feel welcome.

I have been a believer for 40 years, and have been to many different Christian churches. I love the enthusiasm, contemporary worship and friendliness of Cornerstone, but most of all I love the fact that Cornerstone is on a mission to fulfill the great commission to reach those who do not yet know the Lord. I also love to see how passionate and well prepared Pastor Terry is in his message. This is a teaching church not a preaching church. The wonderful thing about the word of God is you can read a scripture one day and come back another day and find new meaning. Come check out a service you won't be disappointed

Even though I am not a Christian. It seems that I am getting to know about God because this church is an amazing one with amazing music and wonderful staff! That is fabulous!!!!

We visited from NYC and our friends in San Francisco who took us to Church on Sunday morning. We had a blast ! Friendly atmosphere , nice singing fun times !

These people flood the sidewalk after a service & ignore you as you say excuse me, to get by. They're not very friendly & just exist, rather than contribute or be a part of the neighborhood.

I parked in front of this church Friday, 9:17pm.
I was forced to phone the police because a group of Cornerstone Church members threatened violence if I was to leave my car parked there.

It was in fact a passenger loading zone enforceable until 9pm.
This group was expecting a large bus that could not fit in the space even if I had moved. I m flabbergasted at the behavior of these church members. I asked the clergy to assist and they remained unhelpful. Stating we cannot control what our church members do or say.
This group of screaming unhinged church goers certainly painted Cornerstone in a bad light.
I have recorded the incident, and filed a police report.

There is no excuse for church members to openly threaten violence. No misunderstanding on parking as a bus cannot fit in a compact car space. And absolutely unacceptable that church staff did not intervene at any time.

Cornerstone SF is a Church where I feel not only welcomed but a great place to serve and find community. I would highly recommend any church shoppers to come and see for yourself!

This has been my church home ever since I was born. I have been to a couple of other churches through out my life, all great in there own right, but I have found that Cornerstone is where I desire to stay. One of the reasons I have stayed is because of the growth one can experience. As you start to dig into community, you can see that the leadership, both staff and non-staff, desire to see you develop and grow in your faith. There is even so much potential to grow in the church, with many avenues to serve or lead small groups.

Churches are run by leaders in the community. I have seen and served alongside many leaders at Cornerstone. I would highly recommend coming by.

CornerstoneSF is a place of true mission! The moment you walk in the door and the first song begins you can sense the presence of God in such a beautiful way! I highly recommend this church at all levels! It s a place where you can find hope and refuge!

I have been attending cornerstone for the past five years I have never met pastor Terry he doesn't even know what my battles are all my challenges and that's very sad because to my understanding every pastor supposed to know what we go through a preaching for 30 minutes not enough it's very very sad and to my understanding limited to God's preaching and praying is not enough

My wife and I are in town from MI, and we felt so welcome! The music was awesome and the staff was excellent! We will definitely be back next time we are in SF!!!!!

Just attended a baptism service, and almost half of the people being baptized were middle school students who shared about how they recognized their bad attitudes, their battle with anger, depression, temptations, loneliness etc, and they wanted more of Jesus in their lives, to recognize He is their Savior, identify with Him in life, and experience more of God's love going forward. Few churches have a good youth ministry, but this church has a great couple who direct the youth ministry with care, love, and attention. Great worship, good messages.

God loves all who love and serve him. I love this church, and have been going since 2001. Great people with open minds. Pastor T. Is outstanding in delivering God's word. If you want to be filled by the Spirit of God, and have God's word delivered in educated and easy to understand message please come visit and decide for yourself.

I love this church. The people there are so inviting. The service is great so is the worship band. The kids ministry and the youth ministry is really fun. With the youth ministry I was able to make many friends. the pastor's there are really good.

Best Church in San Francisco, amazing music. It's like going to a concert, then a bible study broke out.

My wife and I started coming to Cornerstone around 2009. It was the first time I'd been in a church where it really felt like I belonged. I remember thinking on more than one occasion "ah, so this is what the body of Christ working together in a healthy way really looks like." We came for the music, but stayed for the community. I am very happy to call this church home.

I love Cornerstone SF! If you want to find somewhere that you can safely and non-judgmentally explore what Christianity is and could mean for your life, this is the place for you. The people here are smart, engaging everyday members of community that genuinely want to see you grow in your relationship with Christ. When it comes down to it, being a church is most definitely not a popularity contest and Cornerstone knows this. Be prepared to be challenged and to learn what God's direction in your life can mean.

I will bring my mother and my sister to go whenever I do the reminders on my calendar since I am Christian to join in the society by life to show what is on life changes

I been going to Cornerstone for years and the service and music is awesome, so great to hear the wonderful word from the pastors.

We've attended Cornerstone for over 20 Years. Our Church family is warm and welcoming. The Musicians are outstanding! The Teaching is Life-giving.

I would like to highlight the quality of the community. I have been part of the Cornerstone community for over a decade when I first moved to America. They have truly become my family, and have impacted my life in ways too numerous to list in one "review." Most notably, the Cornerstone community was instrumental in helping me survive the death of my wife after our son was born. They rallied behind me, supported me tangibly, and still to this day provide me with help, support, and hope. I could not have made it through that time without them. I still need them, and am incredibly grateful for the quality of people that have come into my life through those doors.

It can be hard to find a place to fit in no matter where you go, and it takes time to connect deeply with anyone in any place, but I found my people, my family, at Cornerstone (I met my wife here!), and, if you allow it time, I hope you will too!

I agree with what most people will say about the message, music and art - high quality, of depth, and enjoyable! And I also love the balance of grace and truth, and I love that ALL are accepted into the Lord's house to worship and hear His word.

Love this place worship service is always just what I need.

Friendly Californian lively church but also typical of Californian Christians. My none Christian son visiting from Europe said people are superficial in California and the churches are no different nice people but often the Lord seems an afterthought. Music is nice but like so many other churches entertainment seems to be the theme and real worship secondary. Church does not practice the gifts of the spirit and mostly a teaching church with very little preaching to the list.
