I worked there for two years and just left last month. The pay is good, especially during the holiday season. Benefits are pretty good, laid back work environment for the most part, and responsible leaders who work with you when you need it.

Love my job my bosses. I definitely love the fact they promote regardless of race. This is the only company I ve worked for that ever promoted so many African Americans such as myself.
Little aggravated with this company... I go in there bust my ass the whole time I'm there and tell me in fine they was gonna keep me on forever cause I'm doing more work then people who has been there for years. Then tell me a week later that today is technically my last day u may be off some days until u get a call back... in the mean time since they told me I was fine and staying forever before that I was actively looking for another job and after they told me that I turned down 3 job offers that would have been better but I liked the company so I choose to stay then to tell me that I wasn't staying.. And that's how u do somebody with a family I understand if I was fired for doing something wrong but I worked harder then anyone there.
I recently had a shocking experience with Ballard's customer service. I am truly upset about it because I like their products and don't want to have to boycott out of principle. But they have lost me as a customer.
My company transferred me from IL to NC, so I moved with my family (husband and three kids) earlier this year. I have a new house to furnish and started buying items from Ballard. One of the items (a $400 side table) was accidentally delivered to our old house in IL (long story. These things happen when you move). I immediately called Ballard customer service. The rep was very helpful - she called UPS and ordered a pick up and return, and then she placed a second order for me with the correct NC delivery address. She said I would get a refund for the first table when they received it.
Weeks passed and I did not get a refund. I called Ballard and they said, "oh sorry, we will issue the refund now." Weeks passed and still no refund. I called again. They said they did not have the table and so they denied my refund - without ever telling me that it was denied. They again said they'd re-issue the refund and, again, weeks passed with no contact and no refund.
I finally contacted them by email because I knew I would need record of what was happening. The customer service rep told me that they didn't know where the returned table was and I had to give them a UPS tracking number to prove that it was actually returned. I tried again and again to explain that I was not the one who ordered the return - the Ballard customer service rep ordered the return and did not give me a tracking number. I asked them to pull the customer service call to confirm this. They refused. They kept insisting I had to give them a UPS tracking number for proof of return. I kept insisting that they were the ones who ordered the return from UPS and that they should have the tracking number. It was like they were demanding a receipt they never gave me.
I offered to give them a letter from the owners of our former house stating that UPS did pick up the package. I contacted UPS myself and tried to find the tracking number. They said they couldn't help me and that Ballard would have to contact them since Ballard ordered the pick up.
I tried to explain to Ballard that if I was trying to scam them, it wasn't a very good scam unless my goal was to get two $400 side tables - one in IL and one in NC - at 50% off.
After countless emails and many hours spent on the phone with various Ballard customer service reps over two and a half months, a rep told me they had found the UPS tracking number and confirmed that they had indeed picked up the package from the house in IL. She said they could issue my refund because "all the pieces had fallen into place." She did not apologize for all the trouble; did not acknowledge that they had the UPS tracking number all along and were wrong to badger me for it when I never had it; and she did not apologize for multiple Ballard customer service reps implying that I had tried to scam the company (again, I would be a pretty pathetic con artist if this was truly a scam).
It was an absurd experience that I never want to repeat. I still love Ballard products, but I cannot support a company that treats their customers that way and can't think logically and critically through a situation.
This place is a complete joke .promise u a bonus then don't give it to u without any explanation. Pay is below average .very disorganized. This job is cool for short term not long
