Have always loved this company and their passion to explore off the beaten path in fine style and comfort! The food is absolutely amazing and attention to detail by the on board crew makes your trip very enjoyable! Home away from home in some of Australasia's most pristine and awe-inspiring coastlines! Thanks Coral, love your work :)

A trip of a lifetime. 4 days on this beautiful vessel. The staff were all fantastic Captain Gary and Shadow Master David along with Engineer Ford made our journey around the reef safe and enjoyable. The chefs Matt and Jo provided the best food we have tasted in our 3 month trip around Australia. Liv provided excellent information on the reef and I thouroughly enjoyed Liv and Mate Jo's glassy tours. My 4 children are now addicted to scuba diving thanks to the patience of Colin and Ricardo. Real highlight of our trip was due to Arron, Bree and Jamie they made sure all our needs were catered for, beyond and above the call of duty. The weather was beautiful which was an added bonus. Lizard Island was stunning, organised hike, sunset drinks at the beautiful Watson Beach, this tour is highly recommended, we loved every minute. Lauren Simpson and family. UK
January 2019- We took the 4 days cruise Cairns to Lizard island. The staff was great, food was delicious, Cook Island interesting. Other than the first night (stormy) we had grey overcast skies but we know that doesn t always make for a bad snorkeling. However we were so disappointed with the snorkeling every day. We were not taken to the ribbon reefs (the main reason we were on the cruise) or any other reef that was worth snorkeling, we were told because of windy conditions. We were taken to what the staff called rubble reefs which were grey/beige coral and had very limited fish . WE WERE EXPECTING THE COLORFUL REEFS AND FISH THAT WERE IN THE BROCHURE, AND WE NEVER SAW ANYTHING CLOSE! We did ask for a discount/refund but were only offered a discount on a future cruise. We came away very disappointed with the Great Barrier Reef which was a bucket list item for us. We think the snorkeling in Hawaii and in Tahiti are so much better any time of the year we have been there.
Have travelled ith Coral Expditions twice now, and have booked a third holiday i would recommend them in an instant. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable, food and drinks plentiful. Some wonderful out of the ordinary places have been seen and the ongoing knowledge that there is so much more to learn and see.
The Kimberely Cruise on Coral Adventurer was beautiful, serene and extremely well managed. But....it was probably not the cruise for us because it was extremely sedate and geared for the very elderly! There were absolutely no alternative options for active people so it was basically just sitting in small boats the whole time! There was no TV, bars open, music or movies to watch and our only option was one very ordinary documentary each evening. They had lovely sitting areas and the capacity to open bars and play music but they were all closed except for pre dinner drinks at 6.30pm. There were also times when we could have gone on a hike onshore but were not given the option. Luckily there was a little gym with three machines that we used each day but it was very small. My mum enjoyed the cruise and read a lot of books but even she did not find it very active. The food was really good but again the options were limited. Breakfast and lunch were really nice buffets with several choices changing every day and were very good. Dinner was a really slow affair that took 2 hours every night with no choice of entree or dessert. There were two mains to choose from and it was served to the table. The cooking was excellent but not good if you didn't like the offering. My husband would have been happy but I very rarely liked the entree or dessert so my meals were very cheap!! The guest lecturers were very informative but very much aimed at older people so I don't think people would enjoy the cruise unless they were extremely interested in geology and indigenous studies. The highlights were Mitchell Falls (but you couldn't see them unless you paid an extra $570 for the helicopter trip), King George Falls, King Cascades and the Horizontal Falls. If these could have been squeezed into 5 days it would be great! Sadly there was a poor wet season so there were hardly any waterfalls flowing. I would recommend telling clients to make sure they book an early tour in May. This year there will be no falls by June! It was a big ship by Kimberley standards (120 people) and it was full so queues were very slow getting on and off the tenders (Xplorers). Safety was a big priority and they were fabulous with the eldery and people with mobility problems. Every member of the staff was fabulous and couldn t do enough for you.
