I've been to Convergence about a year now, and the experience has been awesome. I find a level and feel of authenticity that really starts from Pastor Bobby, but trickles down to the members of the church. It's a relatively new church, so don't expect all the lights to work all the time, but what works ALL the time is a group of people getting together and serving and worshiping God. Convergence is an amazing place if you are looking for a community in the Oakland area. It is a place that is truly out to serve and engage the community around it, not just looking inside and bolstering the church, but realizing that the church is more than just meeting times on Sundays, but is serving and loving the community as well
Our lives were changed since we joined Convergence. We belonged to Reality when we were in SF and loved the service. We thought we d continue going to Reality after moving to the East Bay, but were just blown away by the hospitality of the people are on our first day at Convegence and feel invited. The Elders, Pastor and the wife are amazing as well. We are super grateful of God s arrangement.
