Contractor connection Review

Great place to get emergency repairs ( I never wrote this) I was shocked to see my name. This company is nasty and mean. Total shock to see my name.

Contractors beware of this company. This company promise that they can get you in with type insurance companies, but is not the case.

I have been waiting for a full year and be fallowing up with the recruiter. And have not gotten any responses.

Save your money!

I have never worked for this company or used their services, but I have friends who have and the only thing I've heard is horror stories. Treat your employees like human beings and stop promoting fear and confusion in the workplace.

Customers/Contractors Beware. If I could give less then a one star review I would. This company is basically the Trades version of multi-level marketing. The premise is simple....they claim to vet work and contractors so you dont have to....and charge you boat loads of cash to make it as complicated and painful for you as possible.

The company I worked for nearly dropped a several million dollar insurance agency/client who insisted we used CC. Why? Because by the time we calculated CC's arbitrary fee that they apply to each claim, and the hours of extra administrative/staff hours involved in *working* with CC - we were consistently taking losses on jobs they tried managing.

For Example....

I just dare you to try to navigate their call menu. Need a direct answer? Bring provisions. Tell your wife you love her. Take a picture of your children to remember what they looked like at this tender age. And God be with you. Need to get answers from multiple departments? Lets just say Dante's Hell and Pan's labyrinth have nothing on Contractor Connect. Just imagine an administrative system birthed from the unholy wedlock of the night when the CRA and IRS got blackout drunk one night while playing spin the tequila bottle.

Oh...did I mention....CC will also charge you for everything. In fact we were frequently billed for jobs we were not awarded....but that's fine because there is this really easy...seven month process of sending a thousand emails while getting transferred from Billing...to IT...to Management...who thinks its an IT issue....while Billing is sending overdue invoices to collections....while IT tells you to just click a "Not awarded job" button that does not exist because that's a different department....while Billing tells you " Sorry but you have 30 days to dispute bills, its your job to click the unawarded button. What? Doesnt exist? Take it up with IT. Also...pay the 40k we think you owe us and if you are in fact right we will just refund it to you...this way it *wont* get sent to collections...Why no overdue penalties are not refunded, you should have paid your invoice on time....Why are you getting snarky with us? You should have just clicked the button to begin with....Oh yeah...your that client...did IT ever get ahold of you? Let me transfer you quickly.....

Here in Canada, some insurance companies mandate working with CC to resolve claims. Most individual insurance adjusters I knew hated them and would actively bypass them to work directly with the contractors when possible. The Irony? The contractors they preferred using in our area were known for terrible workmanship.

Your claim/project is "managed" through CC virtually to ensure "quality". Basically they charge you a thousand dollars per claim to look at photos you post online while some guy in Jacksonville Fl with "industry experience" tries to project manage from the other side of a continent. Some of our funniest Monday morning team meetings were putting their claims manager on speakerphone while one of our Project Managers explained Roofing 101 to them.

CC -"You dont need ice/water underlay"
Project Manager - "It was on the roof before and part of the claim"
Cc-"Its a luxury item"
Project manager - "You dont get many -30 winters/blizzards/4 feet of resting snow on your roof in Jacksonville Fl very often do you...."
CC -" What does weather have to do with ice and water underlay...?"
*Sigh*

You know what really gets me? I just looked at the clock. I spent twenty minutes writing this review and I don't even feel like I wasted my time. If my lunch break was not ending I would start adding footnotes and citations. Anyways. Just know what your getting into if you ever have to get involved with CC....

I used to work there. They are honest and want to help.

Amazing company, who truly takes pride in all they do.

I really see this is a company that cares about the service they offer. And are seeking to gain quality people, therefore, it is a process. What a great company to be a part of, if one gets the chance.

Friendly people. Great atmosphere. Promotions within. Great Company to work for.

I might be bias as my husband works for this company. I have seen them grow over the past 20 years and I think they are an amazing group of people.
