Ever since Canteen contracted with the MDOC to service EVERY facility in Michigan, there's been one problem after another. Vending machines are not being filled. The selections are severely limited. The prices are outrageous! And now they have a monopoly on all vending in the MDOC, meaning staff, visitors, or residents (such as myself) have no other options but to use Canteen or go without. I'm suggesting going without rather than be extorted.
Take good care of their drink machines, food machines could use a little care.
I work at the Detroit news. 3.50 for a 20oz Coke. Last time I use any of these machines! But I'm sure it's just a glitch!!!!! I'll be letting my fellow co-workers know. But when your the only machines in the building you can get away with this!
Multiple plant locations are always having problems. People are losing money!!!!
We have multiple plants around metro Detroit, all having this companies vending machines in them. They rarely work! Pop machines are not cold, chip machines are packed incorrectly and don't vend properly, ice cream is always empty and coffee machines are to disgusting to touch. When the machines take our employees money without vending, we call and are told they'd mail a refund .. never received. Terrible business!
Machines will charge you without giving you your soda, 9 times out of 10 product will be expired:/ garbage company
Tried to apply here a few months ago, told me they'd call me back with a time to interview. Never received any call from them. Called them multiple times, still no call back. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate people.
I was visiting AK Steel in Dearborn where they have vending machines. Used the pop machine once, then the snack machine once. I ended both sales. Now, a few days later, I look at my bank account, and I am being charged for 3 sales??? Can't call because all day long, I tried, and it goes to a voicemail for a lady named Samantha with a full mailbox. I am wondering if I should file a police report on the matter now??
They put expired hot dogs, sandwiches, and salads in the vending machine at work all the time! I bought a salad that expired three weeks ago. When I contacted them for a refund ($3.25) i was told I had to provide the salad! It was rotten and expired I threw it in the trash!
Got scammed by the machine. The bag of chips did not come out and stopped. Machine too heavy to shake. Very old machines that do not work properly.
