Consulting Sydney TAFE and BMIHMS Review

Recently completed web dev diploma course at Ultimo, teachers are knowledgable, but teaching material are not up to date and without learning 'mobile first' or media query technique, the course is so basic that pretty much you can learn beyond it from MOOC. However, software and hardware resources are excellent to facilitate students' learning. Alos, it is the best pathway to University or for existing industry professional to keep their knowledge up to date perhaps, or even for retired people to learn new skills to keep brain running. TAFE is still great for learning hand-on skills if you got time after work.

One hour waiting for student ID card!!! Bunch of inefficient people in there customer service ....

Bullying and racism at Beauty class and nothing was done! Some teachers go beyond everything to help you but mostly just don't give a damn!
We need more diverse teacher workforce to improve outcomes for students of color. No matter how good you are, if you are olive, Hispanics, Asian or Aboriginal, you are more likely to get less care or favor from the teachers. You have less clients booking. Teachers judge you more harshly for the same treatment or behavior. At the end of the day, you have to tidy up and clean everything while other Caucasians just walk away. One more thing, level 4 toilets are among the most awful restrooms in the world. Ironically it belongs to the Beauty Department of this Tafe. If you want to learn anything go else where. you get what you pay for.

I don't know why I can't get my certificate yet.
I try to contact to school by phone. E mail and go by myself. and I was dealing with this thing 1 and half month already but no any update.
all they said is I have to wait I can't do anything just wait.
So I 'm international student I have to go back to my country because my visa gonna be expired . I ask the staff how can I contact the right person that they look after about this case. so The staff said I can't phone them can't e-mail them and can not go to meet them. so all I have to do is just wait. So I'm gonna go back to my country next 4 days. I feel hopeless to this school and I just realised I choose the wrong school.
The terrible service ever. No recommend at all.I don't want to deal with TafeNSW any more what they do just make me angry. actually should not receive any star. the reason why I don't ask to post because my friend they also ask take to post to them and when they receive the letter they all broken and wet.

Very bad customer service, was asking for course information and they give you grumpy annoying looks
Front office should be helpful and have excellent customer service skills, people would be hesitant to apply here if treated like that

The worst service ever!!! No recommend at all...

I registered and paid a course 3 months ago but it cancelled 1 week before it started without a good reason. I requested for a refund but nothing happened. I send a request on website and was given some fake numbers. I called administration office but no one wanted to help. No one picked up my calls or let me holding the line for 20 mins then hang up.

I don't want to deal with TafeNSW any more what they do just make me angry. I just want to get my refund.

The administration women were ok - satisfactory. However they could have got straight to the point, without direct verbose analysis. I have had some negative dealings with the Head Teacher Of Business in the sense that he did not bother to answer and respond to my email messages.

This TAFE College, needs much more culturally diverse Teachers especially from Sri Lanka - they are very suitably qualified and know their subject area very well and should work at TAFE NSW Colleges. We need TAFE NSW Teachers, other than the 'normal' Anglo Teachers.

I would also like to assert that the "MATHEMATICS" level of the Business Diploma's and Advanced Diploma's needs to absolutely increase. If possible study MATHEMATICS.

Actually, TAFE NSW, should develop an Applied Mathematics Diploma and Advanced Diploma in order to fill the Mathematical void in this country. The MATHEMATICS level of this country is going backwards. I will have to extrapolate to find where it is - backwards.

I studied Building Design: overall experience was disenchanting. The course is basically speed learning 4-5 pieces of CAD software. Teacher's lost assignments (three), staff politics affected the teaching quality, and overall lack of time spent on basic design principles - semester projects consisted of replicating someone else's design (and not good one's). Disengaged students would describe the group. I'm now at Uni doing Architecture and the building design students from Victorian TAFE's are way ahead of both the students from Qld & NSW.

Beautiful outlook. Study here may be a shorter route to get your bachelor title. After a 2-year TAFE diploma course, you can get direct admission to the third year of a relevant degree course at a uni. The tuition fees for the first 2 years at TAFE are relatively much more cheaper. Consider.

I recently enrolled in an Animal Care course at Richmond Campus. When I attended the college I was physically assaulted and forcefully ejected from the campus. No explanation was given to me as to why they did this. I didn't even know who these people were, they said they were College Managers. I have reported this to police. I also made a formal complaint but have not heard anything back.
I was publicly humiliated and shamed in front of staff and students and so far they have not contacted me to even find out how I am recovering or even to apologise to me. This should not happen to anyone just trying to get an education.
I would give them Zero stars but one is the minimum that will allow you to post.

I went with my wife to find out on Adult migrant English Program course and we did not get proper response. In addition to that, the person who was in charge of this program was very rude and did not bother to listen our questions properly.

If we tried reach them on their telephones, then you may need wait for couple of days to some one to pick your call..

Practical hand on training. I believe that it is a good investment to do a relevant TAFE course before uni. Gives you hands on experience do you come out of uni job ready
