Regrets ? I've had a few...
Unfortunately, I worked for Consonus for many years. It was partially a bad habit. I got used to the inferior conditions of work, absurd productivity, ludicrous documentation, permanently stressed and tired coworkers, often incompetent management, etc. But I also stayed with Consonus because it and its main competitor( same quality as Consonus) basically has monopolized the nursing home therapy market in Portland. " Less than 6 % turnover annually" Consonus management brags on its FB page. I do not believe this figure. Read some of the Consonus therapists' reviews on the known job websites (they are cries of the hearts). But even if the percentage is true, it is not because therapists are excited to work for this mediocre establishment. It is because there are not a lot of choices of employment for therapists in Portland.
*Great company to work for*
I am a COTA with 7 years experience. Of all the rehab companies I've worked for, I've enjoyed Consonus the most. Truly, a company dedicated to its employees, strong leadership and excellent training programs. Their documentation standards are high but in the long run, im a better therapist for it. I would've never left if it weren't for COVID. Highly recommend Consonus as a fair and quality employer.
