Went to take pictures while daughters kyaked. Got a good longwinged zebra butterfly and four different gopher tortoises. Did a quick peek at the rehab animals but did not go through the major exhibit. Will do that the next time.

I must say that while our family enjoyed our trip, I was a bit disappointed with the trip. Maybe I had higher expectations and it ended up not measuring up to my expectations.
My first disappointment was that the place isn't very kid friendly. Even though they have a couple of rooms designated for children, there are signs in certain areas asking to keep quiet because of the animals.
This one wouldn't have been much of a problem if they had at least been friendly which is the fact that all of their employees/volunteers are elderly folks who seem to have lost their ability to interact with and tolerate little children.
The boat ride was a nightmare! We weren't aware it was an educational boat ride and that the captain would be talking the entire ride, otherwise we would have never went. But we went and good thing that we brought food for our two and three year olds in order to keep them entertained and inside the boat (lol).
Mind you, we were told the rules of the boat the minute we sailed off and one of them did not include not eating on the boat.
So after my kid had already devoured one of the snack bags we had brought for the boat ride, that's when the captain told me that we weren't suppose to be eating on the boat, which he then concluded that it was okay because he never mentioned that as a rule nor did he have it posted it anywhere on the boat or dock.
To be quite frank with you, the boat captain seemed very frustrated and irritated, first by the noise my children were making and then because of our eating.
If I had to do the boat ride again with my children at the age that they are now I would not have done it, too much stress and not worth it.
A nice place to spend the day along with the zoo next door. This place is educational and a great place to learn about Florida's wildlife. Also, a great place to understand how fragile our environment is and how to help preserve the environment making for a very interesting day.
Just go.... This is one of a handful of places that I insist my friends and family go to when they visit. Don't forget to go on one of their boat rides too, it is a fantastic tour.
This place is awesome! There is so much included education and things to see. The exhibits are very well designed and the included boat tours are entertaining. Their volunteers are all super passionate and they make you feel like you have your own personal guide...if you ever have a question then they are readily available and happy to help!! All in all, it is a great place to spend an hour or two, and if you could a couple of times then your membership for the year is paid for! We were happy to support their wonderful mission and, there needs to be more places like this!
Found a wounded blue jay on our walk & took to conservancy hospital. A great experience. Very easy process, easy to find location, hours open great and a fabulous volunteer manning the office. Vet tech's so knowledgeable and pleasant. Highly recommend a visit to all on vacation. If you're a local-you will be surprised @ how this place has expanded and upgraded! Beautiful surroundings and lots of FL knowledge abounds. Great place for a couple hours to get the family outdoors.
The conservancy is a great experience full of knowledgeable young people who obviously love their job working with the animals. It's a great learning experience and just a wonderful nonprofit organization that not only cares about animals, but the environment and the earth! Highly recommend visiting and supporting them in their efforts to keep wild animals, the earth and waters protected.
Kayaking! All volunteer staff was so helpful with everything related to this great way to connect with nature. Learning center was great. Lots of activities.
Spent a nice afternoon here. They gave an informative presentation on Florida's reptile population, including the damage being done by the Burmese python in the Everglades. It appeared to me that virtually everyone we encountered was a volunteer and they were all friendly and knowledgeable. We took the boat tour which I highly recommend. The boats are comfortable and the birds along the way were plentiful. Our guide, once again a volunteer, was well-versed on the history of development in the area and how it has effected the ecological landscape of modern Florida, not a pretty picture. I also have to say that the grounds were spotless and the restroom I used was without a doubt the cleanest I have ever encountered in a venue like this.
The staff is super helpful. Some of the nicest volunteers I've ever met. I wish there was a little more to see of the animal hospital and the rehab animals
This is a undiscovered gem in Naples. Forget busy Zoo and beach. Check out the Conservancy of Naples. Rehabilitating wounded animals, boat rides, kayaks and kids center.
You won't regret visiting this place especially if you have children. Is a wonderful exhibit with lots of fish and selfish as well which can be touched and terrific tour guides. Is also a not-to-be-missed boat ride through the marsh which is incredibly relaxing for all ages.
Very nice place. Was here for a professional development event and it was very nice, clean and, well, professional! This is a great place for the kids to learn about animals, can confirm, was once a kid who learned about animals here on a field trip.
We've always enjoyed the Conservancy. I've chaperoned class trips, and the people there are wonderful. There is so much to see there, and so much to learn.
Not very open to volunteers due to their orientation process... who does that these day, turn down volunteers, honestly 10 hrs 20 hrs 30 hrs it doesn't make a difference. Things will get done that you needed, if not you do it on your own!
Very nice staff. We went there just a few minutes before they closed, and they were very kind and took the time to show our toddler the horse shoe crabs and some if the different birds. Always a smiling face.
