We recently stayed at The Chelsea Harbour Hotel and it was lovely. We had a marina facing room and the view was amazing (see photos attached). The room was very spacious with it split into two, a bedroom with massive bed and a living room with a sofa, desk and TV.
We stayed during a lockdown (due to Covid) as we needed to go to the Royal Marsden hospital, so this meant the hotel was really quiet and all the in hotel facilities were closed. But the staff were really friendly and we felt very safe as there were lots of hand sanitisers around.
We didn't get to explore the local area too much, but it all looked very nice.
I would certainly recommend this place.
I never take time to write reviews but, on this occasion, and with the service I received I felt it warranted a review, for other buyers to beware. I will preface this review with a quick story, I watch was a comedy on YouTube, which I now More
The two girls at the front desk were excellent. I can't remember their names but one was blonde and the other spanish. Always helpful and accomdating, making you feel welcome and valued at the same time.
Very efficient check in process, large comfortable room and excellent service in the Terrace Restaurant
At first we were really happy with the hotel. Clean room, friendly atmosphere, and a nice view. That is however until I realised that I had left behind some very important skincare products. I have a rare skin condition which means that if I don t use these products, which were specially produced for people with my condition, I begin to get itchy rashes on my face which then turn to blisters quite quickly. I called the hotel and asked for the manager. I was told that he wasn t in so I explained to the lady on the main desk and she said that the room will be checked for the creams and they will call me back. I received a phone call to say that the room still hadn t been cleaned two days later yet the creams were not there and was asked if I m sure I haven t lost them. She also told me that the only thing in the room was a yogurt in the fridge even though we had left behind many unopened sweets in there too. I asked her to show me that the room hadn t been cleaned yet so that I knew the maids hadn t been in and taken the creams. She then stuttered and told me that the room had in fact been cleaned now although less than a minute earlier she told me that it hadn t. I was then told that there was nothing else she could do to help. With my condition worsening I decided to call the next day and ask for the manager. The manager told me that there were no creams in the room at present and that he can try lost property. However the day before nothing was mentioned about a lost property by the lady on the desk. He agreed to speak with the maid who cleaned the room because of the seriousness of my condition and I was told that they would call back the next day when she was in. Nobody has gotten back to me and it s two days after the last call. With my face now blistered and a long 6 day wait for new creams I am in a lot of pain. It seems like their customer service is absolutely shocking and I was not even offered an apology. Disgusting service and it s a shame because the hotel itself was nice and I would have returned otherwise.
Had the pleasure of photographing a wedding here recently for the first time. Absolutely stunning hotel, 5* service, food and facilities!!
My partner spent all of last week at her dying mum's bedside. Her mother passed on Saturday morning, and I booked in with the Chelsea harbour, as back in the mid 2000's it was a favourite stay in London - service and rooms were always excellent. It was designed as a treat for a woman who had to say goodbye to her mother unexpectedly, and had spent the week sleeping in a hot cramped hospital room.
No aircon in the room meant a very hot and uncomfortable night for us both, the alternatives offered were to sleep with the terrace doors open, both a security threat, and noisy!
Whilst we were told that the restaurants etc... were shut, we were not told that the usual staff of 150 were reduced to 20 or so.
It took longer for them to bring cutlery than it did for deliveroo to bring the food!
The rooms are clearly in need of maintenance, it may seem trivial, but dimmer switches that do not dim, back lighting lights that don't work, the volume button for audio in the bathroom not functioning, dirty and rusty balconies, ice buckets with sweets in them from previous guests!
I am not sure what sort of redress you will be offering, but rest assured I will be taking matters further with my credit card company!
Fabulous hotel. Reception staff on point. Easy transition from reservation to guest. Great location.
Hi I have already contacted secret escapes regarding my stay but will share it with you aswell.
I booked this stay as a surprise for my wife's birthday and specifically booked it because of your spa facilities to which I found out when weasked one of your unhelpful members of staff that it hadn't been open for two years?
It no information about this on your website?
To add further insult to injury when we attempted to have a evening meal in your restaurant we told that was close also but were given the option for bar food!
Even the bath robes were damaged and for a supposedly 5 star hotel I was very unimpressed!
I'm not normally one to complain but I feel in this case I have no choice.
I'll look forward to hearing your response, many thanks Daniel.
