Fabulous winery with fabulous staff. I recently dealt with Kim who was extremely helpful and far exceeded my expectations for ordering/delivering wine. Thank you!
First concert here last night and have to say I was very disappointed in the sound system. The venue is very small and there really shouldn't be a bad seat in the house. The GA section gets packed fairly quickly so we ended up to the left of the stage near the concession stands. We had a great time setting up a place with our beach chairs and picnic but that came to a screeching halt once the music started. We shouldn't be able to hear our own singing over the band. There was no depth at all to the music as just one mono speaker faced the audience on our side of the stage. At one point the singer seemed to not even be able to hear himself. Some serious attention needs to be paid to the sound system. Quite honestly we saw Earth, Wind and Fire at the Puyallup Fair two years ago and it blew Ste Michelle out if the water. I won't be back.
This place had an amazing tour and everyone was so friendly here. We were on our honeymoon and they even helped us toast to it! Also beautiful winery overall!
We visited the facility last week on vacation with our family. Christ T. meet us at the door & introduced us to a sampling. He then explained how the operation worked. We tried a flight & then was visiting with Chris about our tastes. He stopped what he was doing & recommended a few other choices. He went above and beyond just to make us feel at home. Chris even helped us ship 2 cases of wine home & was just amazing. I recommend visiting as the facility was beautiful, clean, and very friendly. Thanks Chris T. for your outstanding customer service.
Great experience! You must do a Salon Experience. It was worth it the $30 cost. Intimate and informative about the various wine growing regions and how they differ. They are the third largest producer in the US. They offer tours and tastings and have concerts with renowned artists. A "must visit" if you're in the area. Loved it
Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery is a gorgeous place, with huge lovely gardens. We did their free wine tour and tasting. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The wine tasting includes three wines. I absolutely loved the Muscat Canelli. It's one of their best and they only sell it at the winery. We bought a couple bottles of Muscat Canelli and everyone who has had it has liked it.
Josh Groban is always more than a great performer. I have seen him in concert several times through his career at different Venues, and I have never been disappointed. He is always friendly with his audience, and interacts with them. You know that he loves what he is doing. On the other hand, This Venue has a lot to be desired. We, my husband and I waited for what seemed like forever, over 2 hours just to get to the security check. It was very poorly executed crowd control. Unbelievably long serpentine around trees. We did not know, as also others were trying to figure out where the actual end of the very long line was. Then after many ticket holders pointed to us where we should go to wait for, "forever", to get into the concert area itself. I have not waited in a line like this even at Disneyland.....I don't think I will ever go back for another concert because of this experience. People around us commented more than once, that they had been here to the winery for concert events, and never had to wait this long before....very interesting! May have been a strange glitche for unknown reasons???
Love bringing my out of town friends here. The grounds are gorgeous! They're open 10-5 most days and offer free tours on the hour that include a small tasting. The staff are all really knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they enjoy their job. They have lots of options for Rieslings (even a Riesling - only tasting). They also have a white, mixed, and red tasting. I wish they would add in a sparkling wine tasting since they have 4 of these. I've had 3 of their sparkling options and haven't been disappointed. We recently attended their July 4th event and had a great time. Don't miss the peacocks on the property!
Visited on our trip to Seattle last fall after having their wine with dinner at the Space Needle, my husband remembered liking that label when he was younger so we went looking for it. Such nice grounds and people....loved the shops...bought a lot of wines and champagne for family and friends as gifts and they loved it too. Will surely go back on our next trip that way as we really fell in love with Seattle.
Talk about sitting on the lap of Mother Luxury! My officemates and I went for an afternoon of frivolity and wine at the wineries around Woodinville and this was the crowning achievement of the afternoon. Grounds that are reminiscent of Downton Abbey and wines that will remedy years of repressed emotions can be found right here. Seriously, if you re looking for a good-weather spot to relax and enjoy the company you re with, this is a great spot at which to do it.
Love their Summer Concert Series... We park off campus in one of the nearby designated parking lots and take the bus shuttle in... Much easier...
Concerts in the fresh open air... Stars in the sky... Wine & food available on premises... Never any ruckus... Cozy... Fun... Just an awesome experience each & every time!
This is such a great place to spend a day. The tasting menus are wonderful. They gave cheese plates and paninis for sale to go with the tastings. So much fun.
The pioneer Washington winery and favorite outdoor concert venue. Ste Michelle was planting vineyards when it was believed good wine had to come from France. A gorgeous setting to experience great music midst pastoral grandeur of the grounds, Imagine Jethro Tull performing Songs From the Wood under cedar trees on a misty NW evening or Yes rocking Yours Is No Disgrace during a spectacular sunset. Grounds include the historic 1912 lumber barons home and a French style chateau. Tours are offered. The elegant chateau houses a state of the art tasting room and lovely shop. For concerts you can pack your own picnic or buy food on site and a bottle of local vino and uncork it yourself with a loaner corkscrew. You can reserve seats or set up on the lawn, either way you will be close to the show. Really are no bad seats here, despite being open air it s pretty intimate. If you want to dance during a show plan to head to the outskirts of the lawn crowd. Parking on site is $20, but you can park free off-site and take their shuttle in. Woodinville has many restaurants, shops and other wineries to enjoy if you want to make a day of it check out the Visit Woodinville website.
The winery grounds are great. The reserve wines are worth checking out. But the concerts can be hit and miss. The artists aren't the problem; the terrible crowds that talk through the entire show at the winery makes it a real bummer.
This vineyard is absolutely beautiful! Stately grounds, landscaping, many water features and of course wine. they are a free tour of the grounds with three wine tastes at the end. They sponsor a variety of events including a concert series from Rock to classical music. I'm here for Michael Franti and Spearhead with Ziggy Marley opening.
An absolute must if you are tasting in Woodinville. The Estate alone is worth the trip, absolutely stunning! They have remodeled most of the main tasting area this year and it is amazing! Much bigger and lots more selective tasting spots and gift shop areas. This place is incredible! Don't forget to try and find the peacock running around the grounds!
Lovely grounds, great wine, a wonderful concert venue. It's hard to find better customer service and appreciation. Look for architecture, peacocks, grape vines, the trout pond, a sample of wine and happy people... Distinctively Western Washington.
