Concordia Lutheran Ministries Review

My father, an Alzheimer patient had an unfortunate fall that required skilled nursing care. He was admitted after his hospital stay and has progressed from the skilled living facility to the personal care facility. The nursing and Dr staff provided the care required so that Dad has now become functional again. He takes advantage of adult daycare, mingling with the other residents and the other activities on-site.

As a visitor, the most notable experiences that I've encountered is the:
--professionalism and level of care the staff provides
--the setting, which is nestled next to the treeline with a lake, a waterfall and walking path

Dad is happy, in a safe environment and is taken care of.

Excellent experience and very competent people. I have been there twice before (different surgeries) and would highly recommend their services.

Thank You for the ministry you have provided to my parents and my family over the years. In 2014 my dad needed Skilled Nursing Care and then he was cared for at Concordia of The Orchard Personal Care and he also received Concordia Visiting Nurses at home. My dad was in Concordia Skilled Nursing about 10 times, he was in Concordia Personal Care for about 3 years in two different rooms, he peacefully passed away on 5/21/18 at Concordia Lund Personal Care. My mother moved into a Concordia Haven independent living apartment in Sept. of 2016. She was dx. With stomach CA in Feb. 2017. She was in and out of the Concordia Good Samaritan hospice inpatient unit about 4 times, finally passing away in peace at Concordia Oertel Personal Care on 1/19/19. She had a great living experience at her Haven apartment, she loved the friendships, the meals, chapel services, Friday night movies, bingo, all the extra activities. My family and I are so grateful for the ministry of Concordia - what a blessing, I don t know what we would have done or what life would have been like if it had not been for Concordia. We worked with Skilled Care, Good Samaritan Hospice, Personal Care, Providence Pharmacy, Concordia Visiting Nurses, Concordia Medical Equipment (Concordia is like one stop shopping..) but within these systems it all came down to great people (caregivers) - people who care from the heart. I know you all work at Concordia and it s part of the job BUT my family and I could tell that there was much more you ministered to us. My parents were treated with dignity and respect, they were cared for and loved, they knew they were safe and secure. They were served well throughout their stay at Concordia and especially in their last days. THANK YOU AND I KNOW GOD WILL BLESS YOU. I work at Concordia as a Social Worker in Skilled Nursing, but this is all written as a child/family member who had first hand experience. I highly recommend Concordia. Dave Fox

The homehealth nurses at the Baden, PA office are wonderful but the company otherwise is a GREAT BIG MESS. CANNOT GET SUPPLIES TIMELY AND GOOD LUCK GETTING A NURSE VISIT IF SOMETHING COMES UP. Other than the nurses, the staff at the Baden, PA office is pathetic.

My dad was in Concordia Cabot for a short time then rushed back to the Hospital. They are extremely understaffed and uncaring in the skilled nursing area.
Even though they alarm there beds they dont respond to it when activated and my father fell to the tile floor. I would never have another family member stay there for any reason at all..... Horrible experience. They need to better staff their facility!

This place is gorgeous!! The pond is wonderful and the wheelchair swing is so nice!! The staff is always sweet and helpful!! The food made by Barb Carney is some of the best I ever ate!! Keep up the amazing job!!

My husband was transferred to Concordia for rehab. The care he received was outstanding. He has other health issues which made his stay .. somewhat challenging. I can t name everyone so I have to say excellent job from the cna s to the nurses to the therapist. The food was delicious. The rooms were clean . Everyone was friendly. I would highly recommend this facility .

My Dad is in Concordia. He has had outstanding care since he arrived, and has been there several months. Nurses and Aides are caring, understanding, and patient. He has Alzheimer's and gets confused, but Concordia's staff are all like a family to him. We appreciate the quality of care and the family environment that he has, through this difficult time in his life. They can make him feel safe and happy, which is so appreciated.

I have had therapy for my knee as an outpatient. It was a great experience being treated with great care. The Physical Therapist's were thorough and very helpful. I would recommend the facility to anyone who needed help.
