Our company has used CompWest for three years for our Workmans Comp needs, and after they decided in the 11th hour of our coverage year to let us go with two weeks warning, (because we used our insurance, shocker) we could never be more relieved to be shot of them.
The claims process was relatively painless to start off with, but their claims team was almost unreachable for updates.
The audit process is awful. They fly someone out to meet you, rather than entering the modern era and having you submit your forms online. It's a waste of time, and the guy makes mistakes anyways that are impossible to contest once he's submitted them.
They're only there to collect your money, they don't care about your business. Steer clear!!

cheat injured workers by denying claims and fighting appeals for months and years, leaving injured workers to fend for themselves and become destitute. Burden shifts to taxpayers and injured workers savings and private insurance. disgusting.
