The CFIA is a GREAT place to experience all the fun of everything ice! Want to experience watching the highly respected Notre Dame hockey team take on an opponent? This is the place. Want to participate in club hockey yourself at any of several levels? This is the place. Want to LEARN how to play hockey? Then THIS IS THE PLACE!

Maybe figure skating is your thing. This is the place. Want to LEARN to skate? Then the well-managed and highly-skilled Learn to Skate program- associated with Learn to Skate USA- is the place for you. Their instructors, many of whom are Notre Dame students or alumni, are wonderful: highly skilled at skating and instructing, friendly, and understanding, these folks will happily teach you or your kids and hone your skating skills. Excellent whether you are a beginner or have some skills and want to get better, and everything in between. Frequent free skate periods are available and affordable for you to practice your skills. Want to LEARN how to play hockey? -say it with me- then THIS is the place for YOU!

Maybe you want to LEARN how to curl: you know- that mysterious sport first developed 600-odd years ago by Scotsmen chucking 40-pound polished stones down a frozen pond or Loch at a target. Find out how to curl and WHAT ALL THE SWEEPING IS ABOUT here at their learn-to-curl school!

So come on down to the CFIA and bring your coat, your curiosity, and your sense of FUN. You'll be glad you did!

I love this place. Not a bad seat in the house. Started coming to Notre Dame hockey this year. Loved it. And became season ticket holders. Confessions are good and cheap. Crowd is loud so if you have little ones that are sensitive to nose bring ear protectors. Seats are narrow but if your average size you ll be fine. Usually can move seats after the first Period.
Parking can be a hassle if there is a basketball game. So beware of the schedule.

Fantastic arena with great views no matter where you sit. I would've given them 5 stars but the food is way over priced. I know that normal for stadiums but it was still more than I've spent at minor league hockey games.

The venue is first rate. The food concession that I went to was unbelievably expensive. I wanted to ask for instalments, and when I am being robbed blind, it would be preferable if the robbers could at least be pleasant, however, even this small mercy was not shown. Service was rude, miserable, uninterested, unhelpful and the whole concession thing reminded me of one of the reasons I don't go to venues.

This place is amazing and the ice is decent, but the locker rooms are little bit small, the benches on the main rink are very unique as the home and away benches are on opposite sides, opposed to being on the same side.

We were here over Presidents Day weekend for our grandsons' hockey tournament. I believe Notre Dame students were not in session as it was quiet on campus & parking a breeze! The ice arena is quite new, so bathrooms, seating, etc. are very nice. Two rinks, plenty of seating; plenty of parking. Very limited food in a snack bar downstairs. Restaurants nearby.
