I graduated the lpn program and cannot say enough amazing things about this school and the staff! The Instructors go above and beyond for the students!!! They made me actually love going to nursing school!! They managed to get us new clinical rotations in the middle of a pandemic. They did everything in their ability to keep us all safe while still getting the experience of nursing school. The school is the definition of of going above and beyond for their students. I passed the NCLEX on the first try this program really does prepare you really well for it. If they have ever had RN program I d be the first on the list to sign up!!! This is the first time I could actually say I miss school!!

I am a recent grad from the Practical Nursing program who has taken and passed the NCLEX in 75 questions! If there is one thing I am good at it is keeping it real so here it goes. When I got accepted into this program, every nurse I knew told me to get ready because my life was going to change. They never lied!

My mom went into cardiac arrest two weeks to the day that I started my program, remained hospitalized for the next four months and passed suddenly. I lost my oldest dog on the same day. My father was in an out of the hospital, rehab and I ended the program with him in hospice. My husband also had two ER visits and a week long hospital stay. Two weeks to the day following graduation my only child, 19 year old son left for boot camp.

The program itself I felt adequately prepared me for what I experienced on the NCLEX; however, I mentioned all of the above to simply say it is your determination that will see you through. I dealt with multiple departments and everyone was always helpful and went above and beyond in my opinion to help with any issues that arose. Some of my classmates were able to zoom but technically it was reserved for COVID purposes or so I was told but I maintained attendance and even showed up for a test the morning following my mother's passing. The month before graduation when we received students from other programs and while waiting in line to enter the building for the NCLEX I truly realized how fortunate we were to have the experience and instructors we had. We got clinical experience during a pandemic at a hospital, COVID vaccination site and rehab facility, while so many others did not. Many neighboring companies came and made presentations to us for employment opportunities and they usually bring lunch or a dessert. For every challenge, there was an equally yoked blessing.

You certainly get everything you need but you have to apply yourself, study and if you're smart you will learn to lean on your classmates before you are two thirds of the way through the program. They are the only other people who can relate to the struggle and it gets real at times. I suppose I should also add I'll be 40 in less than six months and graduated with a 3.4 GPA, if I can do it you can too!

My school experience at MTC was the best ever ! I was in the lpn program and ALL of the teachers were absolutely amazing. You can honestly feel the sincerity when you walk in the door. Everyone is always so professional and always willing to help. They really care about if you understand the content they're teaching. I hate that the most you can give is only the five stars. If it was up to me I'd give them ten.

I had a great experience at MTC the nurses/instructors are wonderful helpful and will go out their way to help u succeed and get u educated and skill to take your Nclex. When I did my program at MTC I felt like the instructors was dedicated to helping not only me but everyone that came they went the extra mile and always was so nice and smiling if we needed any help they told us we can ask them anything schedule one on one sessions and Mrs.Snook door and the rest of the nursing instructors doors and emails was always open for us to message them. I can really say they loved instructing and educating their students. Thanks again

You like working with people. The majority of all classwork is done with a 'pair'; you will not work alone very often. This keeps you focused on long days and provides organic knowledge transfer between students.

If I could give less than one star I would. This place is a zoo. When I called about the Esthetics program in January I was told by Sherry Lou that the next class was in April- the class actually starts in July After I applied for the July program, I didn't hear back from anyone for a month, maybe two months later....the application that I printed out from MTC's website said to expect to hear from someone for an interview within three days. When I did finally get called for an interview, I was expected by the esthetics coordinator, Yolanda, to be readily available for a zoom interview in the middle of the day, TWO DAYS FROM NOW. I work full time and have a child, what kind of consideration is this for working class people who depend on every dollar they make to survive? I would have happily made the arrangements with work to interview with MTC if I was given at least two weeks notice to schedule off.. which is, y'know, pretty standard professional protocol for pretty much EVERYWHERE. Yolanda offered no other option other than to interview on my lunch break, which is wildly inconsiderate considering I have a very physically demanding job , and literally need every minute I have to recover from work. Overall, Poor organization. Poor communication. Total lack of consideration for working class people. Not a great look for a school.

The Practical Nursing Program at this school is accurately described as the best. Every instructor wants only the best for the students. The school as a whole is a blessing. From the day I took my TEAS to the day I walked across stage I felt like I was a part of that school. It's ranking for nursing program shows true when I can honestly say they prepared my TEAM of nurses through a Global Pandemic to be the best Nurses we can be. The opportunities given were challenging "wear your goggles, masks, sanitize, wash, 6ft apart, no more than 15 minutes together in skills lab," but it worked. Graduated from the program, passed NCLEX on the first try, and when I interviewed was told "oh wow you graduated from MTC, they are a great school".
