ive been going to c4 since october, and my experience with them has been amazing, especially considering the counseling center i came from before i started going to them. everyone is very kind, and the pharmacy has really been extremely helpful especially because of an insurance problem. my case manger/counselor is one of the sweetest people ive ever met, and i love how i can always call and theyll pick up! i highly recommend them to anyone, i love it here and im glad that ill be able to use their services for the years to come!!

They committed fraud and refused meetings to correct my records for over 10 years now. They ruined my life and they refuse to even speak calmly with me about it. They fraudulently made up information about my physical health without a health evaluation. They fraudulently made up information about my mental health history and refused to be corrected. They fraudulently made up information about my mental status and updates during the 5 minute meetings where they refused to let me speak. They fraudulently coerced me into signing paperwork. They refused access to my paperwork for years and only allowed me a small portion after I threatened to sue. They fraudulently kept me as an outpatient under coercion, duress, threats, intimidation, demoralization and systemic interference in my personal life. They worked with two other organizations to pass me between them for welfare fraud (which were programs they pushed me into, forcibly). When I tried to leave the program, they threatened me and harassed me. Now I would like my records corrected, but they refuse. When I showed up in person and asked to calm meet with the CEO, I was told to sit and they called the police. The place is a pill mill and a disability scam, and they harm people instead of helping them. Don't believe their propaganda. They're only interesting in money and they'll do anything to get it and silence critics. If you are a patient now, try to gain access to your records. Look at what they're billing for what what paperwork they've filed for reimbursement.
I will only speak regarding my own experience. I strongly question some other reviewers claiming that the staff for this center must be writing good reviews. As if the center is doing nothing good for anyone. Often times we extend our experiences as if it s how things are generally for everyone else. From my experience at C4, I have experienced nothing but respect from the workers. Have never been hung up on, or experienced fraudulent activity.
I have been going to this center for about 14 years. I was blessed to have had great help from someone special, they no longer work at this center. However, due to changes in management or authority, there has been noticeable a decline in quality of care, causing this individual to quit their job at the center. Since then, this individual showed me care in transferring my case over to someone else, making sure to warn me of certain individuals who are not healthy mental health care providers. Even on this individuals way out of the center they showed me concern and made sure to assign me to someone great. Keeping away from the problematic individuals. And I am receiving great help. I personally believe that people s bad experiences are likely due to the certain individuals, one of whom I was alerted to as being a major issue. However, they do not represent the number of great workers who do their job properly. I was told by my former helper that there are great workers at the center, a number of whom this person hired. And they were right. If anything, this center is likely going through a difficult situation right now under the new management and may need to experience a great change or improvement to restore certain aspects back to the healthy balance it once had. I will say that at any center for mental health there will be those who will have bad experiences, the key is to tell the difference between imperfections and truly ascertain if the center is an issue on a general level.
As I said, I have been at the center for about 14 years. Have never gone through victim blaming, in fact quite the contrary or anything I ve seen other claims they went through. I have experienced appropriate correction from my helper at times when truth needed to be spoken, and this was key to helping me to be healthy and to overcome much of what was going on with me. For the truth I am grateful, but I was never victim blamed. It doesn t surprise me if some people have bad experiences anywhere. So, I won t argue that this center can do no wrong, as I said it has been experiencing a quality decline. I m sure poor decisions have been made in caring for some people and for those mistakes the center should take responsibility. However, in my experience, I will not leave the center at the moment. I m getting great quality help and am happy with the services I m getting.
3 month wait for an assessment. And then an even longer wait to see a therapist because they had to hire new ones. Phone staff is ok sometimes. Other times a whole different story. Go somewhere else.
It's hard to believe that I'm the first person to be leaving a review for this place. C4 is an invaluable community resource for counseling and mental health services. The counselors and staff members are professional, caring and reflect the diversity of the city. We need more centers like this that make mental health services more accessible for members of the public who, for various reasons, may not be able to otherwise. There's also a pharmacy on the premises so you can pick up an prescribed medications directly on the spot. (Shout out to my own awesome counselor, Sherri Williamson, who I look forward to seeing every week.)
Horrible! I called 4 times in a row to find someone for my 12 year old. I was hung up on 3 times. Then without asking me questions said they cant help me. Theres no services for my daughter. She was rude and careless!!!
-After over 7 years of care, services abrupt cancellation of program, therapy services and psychiatrist without notice. No referral system to other organizations to get continued care. No transition services offered. -Elevator consistently out of code. -Ladies' restroom on 3rd floor has been broken and unrepaired for over 3 months. -24-hour crisis line has a recording to tell one to call 911.
i was sent here by a shelter so I could get labeled mentally ill and get access to disability medicare and housing they were nice at first but the more I asserted myself and became independent the more they got angry and snarky they lied about me and were mean and i found out later they lied about me in paperwork and said it was for billing and i didn't need to be concerned with it but i am concerned because there are lies in here
