Those 5-star reviews don't look like rehashed stock reviews at all.

I understand the business practices of a collection agency are going to upset people, but if you have a legitimate case, take it to court or move against the debtor's credit rating. Don't resort to harassment and abuse of people. It's unethical at best and can overstep the law if taken too far.

this is a collection agency also based out of Burn...

this is a collection agency also based out of Burnaby BC and they harass you with phone calls and even if you get a private unlisted number they will find you. Until they do, they will harass you will mail to call them, call them, call them about a debt. I become very ill and am on disability and cannot pay this debt. They just will not quit. Have made life living hell for me.

Why is it that you ppl call me non stop with your automated phone calls, when I thought we already cleared up this misunderstanding on your part. THE PERSON YOU ARE LOOKING FOR DOES NOT LIVE UNDER MY ROOF NOR DO I EVEN KNOW THIS PERSON!!! STOP CALLING PAST 9 EVERY NIGHT!

People, if this collection agency is harassing you...

People, if this collection agency is harassing you then report them to your provincial government. In Alberta it's servicealberta.ca and in the other provinces, it the same idea. i.e. Serviceontario, etc. Also, file a complaint with the BBB. They can only call you 3 times in a 7 day period. They cannot threaten and if you tell them to communicate in writing only, then they can no longer call you. IF YOU DON'T REPORT THEM, YOU ARE GIVING THEM PERMISSION TO CONTINUE TO HARASS YOU. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Clearly the 5 star rating was left by them, not an actual person. They became extremely irate when I didn't confirm my name and asked who they were (always ask who is speaking before confirming your name... always). When I asked what CCA stood for, she (Mia) became even more annoyed, saying I knew exactly what it meant even though it was the first time they called me. Know your rights! Never admit to anything, not even your name, especially if it's an old case. Anything over 2 years old is dead unless you admit to something. It is in your best interest to tell them that you are recording the conversation (do so if possible) and do not admit or acknowledge anything. If you have a lawyer, give them their phone number and let professionals handle it. Say something like "This call is being recorded for everyone's benefit. I respectfully refuse to confirm any information, including my name. Please speak to my lawyer (or accountant) at ###-###-####. I officially request that all communication be in writing, do not call this phone number again." Remember, they called you so you don't have to provide any information. They can not threaten you or have you arrested. All they can do is recommend the company they represent take you to court.

Became very irritated when asked "Can you ask your family for money?" to pay my debt. Told her, "We ARE NOT going THAT ROUTE!" And "Can you pay an $1100 in full debt today?" These "people" can go to hell.

Got a new cell phone and number last year and righ...

Got a new cell phone and number last year and right away started getting calls from them. Called to explain that the person they are asking for no longer has this number. I called to explain a few times but eight months later, still getting several calls every month from different numbers. I try to leave a message on their machine but it is always full. I get that their business model is about recovering bad debt, but they need to do a much better job about respecting innocent people. At what point is this considered harassment: unwanted calls from a business with which I have no existing relationship. Time for a CRTC complaint.

Terrible. They started calling me months ago. It wasn't a person calling, but an automated bot that played a message, very very spammy sounding. I completely disregarded their messages based solely on how sketchy it came across, and proceeded to block the number. They continued to call on rotating public numbers, all with the same message. Eventually I started receiving texts about 3 times per week. I eventually discovered that they are legitimate (per se), and that I did owe a company a small amount of past due money. I ended up paying that company directly, not CCA (will not deal with these bafoons). Do these people really have to stoop this low to try and make a buck? Embarrassing.

EDIT: Upon paying the outfit I owed the money to, CCA ceased all contact (which surprised me). I repeat, I did NOT pay CCA directly, I paid the organization. I don't know if that's possible in all circumstances, but I would advise it if you can.

Just talked to them about my account, was absolutely awful. Wouldn t stop telling me to borrow money or sell something rather then working with me on my pay days to make arrangements. Even before hanging up told me to do everything I can to get money to pay them ASAP! When asked to stop making suggestions that weren t possible for me told me I wasn t willing to work with her and that I didn t want to cooperate. Can t wait to not have to deal with this company!

Awesome collection agency from a creditors point of view. All the one stars are from people who don't pay their bills and wait for a collection agency to collect from them. From a creditor point of view, this is what they want to see....a lot of 1 stars from a bunch of people who don't know how to or refuse to pay their bills properly.

I keep getting calls saying I owe different companies but get a monthly updated credit report each month and don't owe nothing. Annoying! I bet they wouldn't be able to send me any legit information that I owed anyone. Get proof that the debt is yours and pay the company you owe directly.

Such joke of a company. The lady that was in charge of my account her name is Adriana Peralta and let me tell you when I called in to tell her I wasn t going to be able to make a full payment she completely changed her attitude and got personal with me. These people are ridiculously self abosorbed. If people are still making payments, you should still be trying to help them out, it s the people that don t pay you should be having an attitude towards. Such a sad joke of a company.

This is the worst experience of my life. 6 me harassing phone and bullying continues. Unpleasant and dehumanizing
I have never received a notice of claim. I was harassed so I paid $ 400 I did it. They asked me for $ 9 more to close the account. I claimed a notice of complaint in vain !!!
So phone harassment, robotic call text message threatens to taint my credit. And more !!
I sent a clear notice
The rest will go to the court

Harassment. Does not follow the law. Refuse to mail statements. Refuse to outline where the debt originates. Calls multiple times a day, but does not leave message to try to get around law regarding number of allowed phone calls a week. Refused to stop calling, even after directed to deal only with assigned contact / trustee / agent.

They are providing very bad service and unresponsive, and they are keep calling you to get some money.
Also, they are unprofessional regarding skill communication and CCA don't know how to communicate with their client professionally. CCA team are not doing their jobs in the right way. here is best example below i was chatting with them.

They do not give notice before sending to collections. If you receive something from collections from Commercial Credit Adjusters make sure you phone the credit bureau first because chances are they haven t followed procedure and it could save you.

Very unprofessional their employees feel like they have the right to lecture people. They don't listen to what your telling them and if you don't want to give them your banking information they assume you don't want to settle your debt. They would rather sit there and harass then work with us.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. They tried to get my new address from me to "update" my file. I said no. The lady on the other end was clearly getting upset cause she put me on hold a couple times. Didn't tell me when the bill was from. Hung up when they asked for my banking info so they can do the payment for me. Um, no thanks! Worst call ever.

The absolute worst. They don't stop calling you ever. They are ignorant and rude. Even after you make payments they continue to harass and blow up my phone. They ask very invasive questions as well. Would give 0 stars if possible. Even after you make payments they continue their harrassment.

These people harassed my mother into giving them my phone number. 87 times in one day. Also they told me that after I paid my debt they would give me a form that declares I no longer have a debt with the company they had the contract with. I never received anything from them as of yet to inform me of that. Very fraudulent and threatening company. Terrible customer service. The people who you talk to can barely speak English and they talk down to you like your garbage.
