Comfort Home Hotel Bilan Review

Have visited many times and the hotel always keeps the same high quality. Dinner buffet / supper is included and is always perfectly ok.

Good room, somewhat ok breakfast. The included dinner was not really as expected, but the soup was great. The staff was beyond expectation.

very good value for money with half board: rich breakfast, tea and coffee throughout the day, realtime with booklet, acceptable dinner in a former prison (!)

In the summertime, on a sunny and warm day: IF they want to give you a room on the 4th floor: REFUSE IMMEDIATELY and request a ro change! Those rooms are incredibly hot with no aircon - its nearly impossible to get some sleep.
The free diner buffet does not make up for that trust me!

A historical building has been used as a prison for years, and certain parts of it that have survived to the present day are preserved as museums.

Okay, nice rooms, nice service, but for supper it was out of hot food and they filled up way too late.

Not a typical Clarion hotel. Rooms in the 4 stick are not recommended. Very hot and very loud. Sheets had stains. Shower not really clean. If you take a shower, you put the whole bathroom under water. Everything is very small. Would not book again. Breakfast bad and totally overcrowded.

The hotel is an old, converted prison. In the cellar, there are a few old cells to visit.
The rooms are great and also at the front desk everything always works perfectly. We have been there very often.
A small downer is the breakfast room. The is a bit too small for the hotel.

Different to spend the night in a prison! Small room, bad bed, nice staff (all except one). Good concept that supper is included.

I really liked that dinner was included in the price! Simple dinner but still nice and good value for money. Staff was really friendly and helpful adding an "at home" feeling during our stay. Rooms were quite small and the bar and the gym also. Still, not a big problem since the staff managed to find good workarounds to accommodate our stay.

This is a hotel we would love to come back to, good room, clean, good parking space and dinner buffet including which tasted unbelievably good, everything voted here, good atmosphere, super location in Karlstad, we see next time we are here

Giant Cozy. Clean and fresh. The girl at the front desk was incredibly nice. Very good Covidan adapted! Dinner was included in the price which was good but the food was not very exciting. It was, however, their homemade bread.
Good breakfast!

They had missed our request for separate beds (as they had confirmed before) but luckily we could change rooms. What we got then was quite spacious with pretty comfortable beds. There was an empty "minibar" if you want to cool your food or drink (good!), Iron with board and pretty much with room for clothes. Good ventilation so cool in the room and not at all as trapped as in many other hotels. Some might call it too cold but we liked it sharply. Pretty large toilet with relief surfaces. SEK 95 for parking "under roof" inside the walls but otherwise free at public parking just outside. Pretty good supper but somewhat "stingy" breakfast. Five minutes walk to the center and the central which is quite optimal. We would be happy to return but a little more to choose from at breakfast had been nice then.

Bilan is a charming little hotel, quiet and relaxed. I hope they manage to keep the wear at a distance of some rooms.

MY LUMBERYARD IS CLEANER THAN THIS HOTEL!!!
The badroom was not clean and there was a pile of dust > 1 cm thick on the heating-radiators. 'we know, but we cannot clean it' was the front-desk reaction. Well, what was I was suprised...: when I visit a 1365 SEK = about 160 euro's per night hotel I expect it to be basicly clean!
(mind you, I was there in the summertime. But when the radiators are heating up... the dust will get in the air-it will get smelly and most people cannot stand it and start sneasing.)
Second: like in all Clarion hotels the internet encription is uselessly difficult: you need to be a professor to understand it (and a new 20 digits code is supplied every day. Scandic and Best Western have a better login-system)

As long as this problem is not solved - this hotel is a NO-GO area!

Good and historic place (old prison) but a little bread selection for breakfast.
