Update: they sent out my package on august after approving me April I found a place my landlord sent out inspection on October 6 is October 27 no one still has came out and checked my place out mind you guys my voucher expires on November 2nd called and called no one replies I have a 1 year old !!! We are about to be homeless !
I was emailed in August that I would be receiving a link to watch briefing video and answer questions so that I could get my voucher and I still have not received anything. This is very disappointing. I really was excited about finally getting things rolling. I am extremely disappointed!

Was emailed and told I needed to turn in more verifications and verifications and paperwork were not sent. Weeks go by without communication and i just want to know if I am eligible as I was selected on the wait list. They have all my info. I just have to find a place and go from there.
I have never been so highly disappointed in my life. If Mr. Marcus Dickerson is still ahead of all of this then he needs to get it together. The lack of communication and care is showing. I'm not sure if they've forgotten that people are going without homes waiting on them or not?

That s ok let them keep operating the way they do. If you calculate your monthly subsidy amount times the average amount of years you may live (since lots of people who receive housing assistance have medical limitations and may need assistance indefinitely) plus pain and suffering that should add up to millions that you can sue them for in the event you lose your subsidy. #runitup
I was selected after being on the sec. 8 waiting list since 2015, called and sat on hold for 3 hours. When they answered they updated .y address and said they'd send me the packet that was sent to the wrong address. This was 2 months ago. I still haven't received it. Now I don't know what number to call to get in touch . If anyone can send me a message with the information I would greatly appreciate it!!
I have been calling my caseworker with no call backs. I am waiting to see how long this will take for them to sign my ROTC. They will not return my calls I dropped the papers off in a box month later still waiting. I have emailed and called. I will lose my voucher in November. I'm not understanding why my case worker checks her messages but doesn't call me? People are waiting no emails or phone calls
I m hate this. I have epilepsy and bad anxiety ect. I can t do this. I need help AND I CANT FIND NO REPEAT NO PLACE TO GO DO COPIES. I need help please. I m retired and disabled. What is going on with CMHA? I was notified that I was chosen through the lottery method, so I filled out all the paperwork and certified it through the mail and got it in in time.
I did the Voucher Briefing on line and was told I would hear back from them in one to two business days, but never did!
I finally called to see if I was getting the voucher and when do I get to sign it but was told.... if I ve been thus far, that I don t need to worry that I definitely have it. They told me they were changing over their system and to call back every two weeks. Every time I ve called I get the same answer and am told to start looking for a place to live, but without the Voucher and an inspection that wouldn t make any sense because no one will hold an apartment, for however long it s going to take, just to get the voucher!
I m a senior citizen, disabled and have low income, and was supposed to be gone already from where I am staying, the 1st of July! I will be homeless any day now, living in my old car and that scares me to death!
I seen in a comment that someone else is having the exact same problem, are there many others and what does this all mean? I m so desperate right now :(
