I recently in 2017, closed on a refinance with Colonial Mortgage Service. I found the communication with my loan officer to be extremely poor. He was unable to answer questions and repeatedly did not follow through. I was given incorrect information. The process was an unorganized nightmare. I would never recommend this company for a mortgage or refinance.
The Best of the Best
We started our mortgage refinancing with PennyMac and decided to stop right before closing because of deception and incompetence. We looked for a new lender and did find Colonial Mortgage Services of America where John took care of us. John delivered every step of the way. He is honest, transparent and extremely competent. He responds to questions almost instantly whether it is within and outside regular working hours (I am wondering if John ever sleeps). The closing figure was within a few dollars of the initial quote! Amazing! Not only was the refinancing a pleasurable experience (thanks to John), but Colonial Mortgage Services of America provided us with the lowest rate and the lowest closing cost. By moving our refinancing from PennyMac to Colonial Mortgage Services of America, we moved from the worst to the best. Thank you John.
Spent over 2 months for trying to refinance and then the loan wasn't approved, but I had no issues with my bank which has a little higher rate. My friend is still in the process, will update soon.
