I have a big fear for the oceans that's why i decided to go for scuba diving to overcome that fear. I was pretty nervous. While diving, i gave up like 10 times but my instructor Duminda kept me going. I wouldn't say that i've overcome my fear but Duminda has certainly pulled me 1 step closer. Fabulous crew and experience. You are all extremely professional in your delivery of this special diving trip. Diving here is incredible. The reefs are pristine and full of lots of coral and tropical fish. Boat staff was friendly, and helpful. Gave a safety briefing, and instructions to the divers. It was grate experience. We did 10 dives with Sherick in Negombo. He's an excellent dive leader and has some fantastic dive sites.
Negombo was our favourite place to dive in Sri Lanka, we also went diving in Weligama, Unawatuna and Hikkaduwa. There's loads to see and the colours are fantastic.

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Colombo Divers. I obtained my PADI open water diving liscense under the professional and extremely friendly guidance of none other than Sherik. The equipmemt in use are in extremely good condition and safe to use. I'm highly recommending Colombo Divers. They have two schools; one in Negombo and now one in Trincomalee (during the season). It had been 6 years since I had dived. But I was lucky to stumble upon this center when I arrived in Uppuvelli.
Sherik was very professional, attentive and patient. After a short refresher course, I did 2 very nice dives.
The rest of the staff is also very friendly.
I highly recommend this dive center.

Had a great two days of diving with Colombo divers in Negombo different dive sites every day with different marine life, good gear felt safe the whole time.

The owner was very helpful and friendly. The equipment was good. The staff was thoughtful. I had a great time diving the secret wreck with the V.I.P. cars !

The instructor left me out of air alone in the first dive. He lost a student in the second dive and did not surface until 30mns later.

The guy may by friendly but his practices are dangerous. Avoid.

That was a great diving experience in my second dive tour in Sri Lanka. As a experienced diver highly recommended.

I had the most memorable experience with Colombo Divers Negombo. The organizers, Sherik and Barbara, were extremely helpful, friendly and took care of every little detail during the dive. This was my first dive ever and they ensured I was fully trained and equipped for the dive. I was very comfortable underwater and had the best time watching the amazing marine life.

The first time I went to Sri Lanka, I had no diving experience whatsoever. Today I know that I was lucky to meet Sherik and his team from Colombo Divers.
I took the padi open water diver course and got to know the world of diving in the best possible manner: Step by step, with good responsible education and nice people around me. And don t forget the 29 degrees Celsius water temperature, a healthy fish population and great visibility. The whole package you might say.
Leaving wasn t easy, but I left Sri Lanka, this beautiful and warm welcoming country, with a suitcase full of memories and extraordinary experiences, underwater and above the surface.
I will never forget my first time diving. Be prepared: I will return, that is certain.

Did 5 days of diving with Colombo Divers. Friendly and experienced staff. It was a great time with wreck dives, great underwater life.

Avoid diving with these people please! They are not professionals, they are pirates. They work outside any legal framework. I am a Divemaster, I have experience and I know how this world works, and you are people who practice this profession illegally. The guide is a 27-year-old Divemaster boy, and I doubt if he will have the qualification up to date. He has little experience, is disorganized and speaks awful English. I assure you that they do not meet safety minimums ....
As it is possible that they did not check my diving insurance. They made us sign a paper without reading it and when I went to write down my policy number I took the paper from my hands and told me that it was not necessary, that signing was enough. Then the very weak dives ... I went out on both dives with about 100 bar. Just 30 min. A scam !!, Yes, they will charge 35 per dive as if they were a recognized dive center, but they are not. The tanks are loaded by your boss with a compressor driven by a gasoline engine in the garden of your home. I should denounce them, but they know I will not, because we're on vacation and we do not speak their language. What a shame and what a bad impression I am taking from my diving experience in Sri Lanka.

Colombo divers is a very professionnal dive shop. The owner Sherik and dive master Duminda are very welcoming and take time to explain the diversity of dive spots around Negombo. Great wreck dives and heaps of small life if you are into. I can only recommend this excellent diving centre

The team managed by Sherik is at the top, brand new diving equipment, perfect logistics, optimal security, seabed and splendid wrecks for all levels, I extended my stay in Negombo to be able to do more dives with this club and I will come back for sure!
