I recently had to contact Coliban Water to raise the issue of our front stop tap leaking. The woman I spoke to on the phone on Friday was lovely, helpful and explained that it could take up to 2 weeks for someone to come and fix it, though it could be sooner if they were completing another job nearby. By Monday lunchtime, we had two workers here and the tap fixed in 5 minutes.
I'm very happy with how our issue was completed so quickly and very grateful for their help.

I recently contacted Coliban Water to ask for a rebate on my water charges as the property on which the charges are incurred is in Heathcote and, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, is currently inaccessible to me as my permanent residence is in Melbourne! So, not only do I currently have to pay to have the property maintained by a 3rd. party but have to continue paying,, in full, these blood-suckers for a service of which I cannot currently partake!

My rating is for the quality of Bendigo tap water.
I grew up drinking Bendigo tap water my whole life. The water used to be okay to drink. It was always a little on the chlorine smelling side but you could drink it. It never used to dry my mouth out.
However in the past 15 years the quality of the tap water has become terrible. Shamefully bad. I can't believe people are still drinking it.
Water should quench your thirst, but Bendigo tap water does the opposite. It saps all the moisture out of my mouth and tongue.
It gives me such a dry mouth that I find it unbearable. Shameful quality these days.
Factors that are causing this are most likely the additives to our water supply. Coliban loves there chemical additives.
I think they are putting too much builders lime and sulphuric acid in our water supply. This is done to keep all the water pipes clean. Not to mention chlorine and fluoride. This has nothing to do with keeping the actual water clean. Its purely the cheapest way for them to keep the pipes clean.
This saves Coliban money as it is how they keep the water pipe infrastructure clean and maintained.

The builders lime would explain the extreme drying of my mouth.
What's your take on this Coliban? Why is the water quality here in Bendigo become so bad? Especially since Veoila has taken over management of our water supply?

Is it the lime? Is it sulphuric acid?? What have you done to our water?
