Its a nice place to study but sometimes if you are in the study rooms you can hear the group next door clearly. Sometimes there would be a few loud people every once in awhile which makes it pretty hard to focus. Overall the library is kept clean and nice place to study.

Not open 24 hours like other university libraries....

Not open 24 hours like other university libraries. Rude intercomm speaker that says, in a very short, bored and monotone voice, "The library is close. Exit the building." On the plus side, the really boring beige look of the interior, which is rough on the eyes, is good for concentration. But because it's not a 24 hours library, if it's 10 PM on a Saturday and you have an exam on Tuesday and the library's the only place you can concentrate to study, you're out of luck.

Lovely and well stocked three story university library. Historical building from early NAU. Has tons of books, many study areas, lounge areas, quiet study areas, private study rooms, and lots of computers and a technology center. The building also houses the Dean's office and a rotating exhibit hall. The hours are always changing per session but they maintain very long hours during sessions with limited hours during intersession.

Checked out a study room, before realizing I wasn't trusted to get food on campus after doing so. Upon my return I am told that my privilege of studying in private had been revoked because I returned the key in "an aggressive manner". I tossed the key onto the counter from two feet away.
This happened four years ago and I still find myself haunted by the experience. It's absolutely deplorable to me that a librarian would think to take away the ability to work in peace as a means of imparting some lesson. The library is supposed to be a place of academic refuge. That someone whose position is to help others would be willing to hurt me so purposefully is heart wrenching.

Other than this experience, the library was very accommodating.

Poor and limited resources. Why do you have another school's database in your database that requires students to pay $39 to read an article? Why don't you have the same articles? Once again limited resources.

I always come here when I have a big paper to write, and the atmosphere is nice and welcoming. The quiet of the second floor is nice, but if I really need silence, the third floor is the place to be. I've never had trouble here, and the available resources are great; I've never had trouble finding what I need for any given assignment.
