Cleggs Hotel is a Great Little Escape for a night on Fire Island , Beach Atmosphere , Affordable and Spotless . Friendly Accommodating Staff , Tyler was our Main Man , From my first phone call with him regarding our reservation to meeting us on our arrival , Making sure all our needs were met including dropping ice to our Room , Cleggs are lucky to have him !! Great deal with beach chairs and Bikes Included ,Will be back .....
Really gross and outdated hotel. Smelled horrible and was really loud. Won t be going back
I watched this hotel in tv program and hotel's boss took a great decision, congratulations.if I have a chance to go to fire island i will go ceartaintly this hotel
it was the worst hotel i have ever seen in my life you shouldn't go
This place is by far the most expensive low budget hotel In the history of crappy hospitality. They charge almost 400/night for a poorly maintained, dated, thrown together atmosphere with what looks like second hand furniture and things your grandparents may have complained about throwing out.
The over all repairs on damages in the building are pathetic. Cracks in the dry wall, a mattress that feels like a mass of cardboard stacked. The sheets are about as rough as sandpaper and even have a yellow hue. Which I believe they are supposed to be white. No television. And 2 complementary kid side beach chairs.
Let's not forget the complementary continental breakfast full of hour old coffee, left over bagels and dough nuts beautiful displayed In the reception office with the abiance of a black hole.
I thoroughly recommend sleeping on the street otherwise.
If I had spent an appropriate amount of money for this hotel maybe 120/ night I probably wouldn't be so salty. But this place blows.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Cleggs over Labor Day weekend and it was great! I was worried about the shared bathrooms (especially during COVID) but they were kept clean and sharing really wasn t a problem, overall people were pretty respectful. The room was clean and larger than I thought with plenty of space for our things. It was cozy and decorated really cute. They offered beach chairs and bikes which we took full advantage of and Tyler was awesome-always pleasant, super helpful and had great recommendations, just a really nice guy!
Lastly Cleggs, is in the heart of all the action so the location is prime! If you want to enjoy the island for a few days and can t afford a house or (don t want to share one) I highly recommend Cleggs! We ll be back for sure :)
Staff is amazing room was great i couldnt have asked for a better first time visiting the island
So charming really enjoyed staying there the owner Tyler is so friendly definitely a very special little place with a great history
Tiny rooms, shared bathrooms, and rude delusional manager.
Massively over priced. Should be hostel prices
