Tried several times to talk to internal affairs to file an official complaint. sent to various wrong extensions, would NOT provide me with a phone number, then all together the secretary stopped answering my phone calls. Will be taking further legal action against everyone I have encountered.
Everyone cool, except the vent sex. Helped a girl in formation who had seizure. Hope she's OK. Food sucked, guards rude, slow slow processing. No pillow or blanket. Very cold. None of my seizure meds. Got T.B. vaccination.
Boyfriend has been officially sentenced to probation, and has been waiting to be released for over 12 hours. This staff is full of it, it should never take this long to be released to your families. They can never properly answer questions and sometimes neglect answering the phone. Please someone investigate this jail.
My son was there, it is inhumane, run by a sheriff that himself should be in jail, what a cover-up the paper & news channel's did. They didn't give my son his medicine, are not fed enough. I could go on & on, thank God he is not there anymore.......
I am very pleased with the fine men serving in this department. They deserve to be treated with the same respect and kindness that they give to others. They really care, so why don't we show them how much we care about them. They deserve it.
The jail neglects health needs, force's people to indure four days what is called orientation where you are not allowed to purchase highgen products. They do not provide underwear and you only keep your own if they are white but no one knows the day or time they may be arrested to be prepared and dressed for jail. You are not allowed to purchase underwear or anything else until the four day orientation is over(exculding phone time). They have no programs such as counseling job awareness or anything that could assist in bettering a inmate or set them on the right path once realesed.. Staff are disrespectful and harassing and are allowed to mistreat and insult inmates. Sexual misconduct and violations go on every day and there is no one to report things to that will actually help or listen to inmates concern.
My suggestion to all of you and your complaints...stop breaking the law!!! Ignorance is no excuse! Get educated!
And for public service matters, such as funeral processions and other services those things have to be scheduled.
And if you have a complaint; take it to your state representative office or, file a formal complaint with the federal government!

I read an article in the American Rifleman magazine about a delivery driver who saved the day and the Sheriff here made him an honorary deputy! We need more men like that. People who work hard for the better of our community and REWARD the people that do GOOD!
Went and got my fingerprints done today and everyone in that department was so nice. I got lost they stayed on the phone gave me directions until I got there. The Process was very quick Nikita took my prints and just was very nice and respectful the entire time.
Wouldn't suggest running for Sherrif here, unless you'd like your wife taken away in cuffs.
They treat the inmates with total disregard of respect. I wouldn't treat my own worse enemy as bad. Seriously agree with the post below about some type of undercover investigation needs to be done. Terrible service, horrible employees. I understand that this is a jail and im not expecting 5 star service, but if me and my family are putting money to make bail the least they can do is realse our loved one and not hold her for an extra 6 hours. The employees did nothing to help. Mainly the women officers,all they did was sit on their behinds and eat. While I was waiting I saw one just talking on the phone as if she had nothing to do. Also the morning shift didnt tell the night shift about our wait, SO THEY WERE JUST THERE DOING NOTHING!!. Our total wait time was 12 hours!!!!!. It should never take this long, so if you ever have a loved one here be prepared to be upset and dissapointed and be ready to spend the night. p.s. bring food and a blanket and always get up and ask , because if u dont they wont do their jobs.

12 almost13 hrs after paying bond person is still not released. The time online went from saying 12:08 am to saying 2 am. I live too far ro just leave and come back and busses have long since stopped. This is crazy and shows lack of concern for people's time, money and effort. It should not take half of a day to release someone who has payed their fines and fees.
Who knows how much longer I will be here when I called and hour and a half ago they said she just needed to be dressed out. But wow look at where we are still waiting
I had a opportunity to tour the jail and it is the most clean and well put together a Center that I have seen. Vick Hill keep up the wonderful job of maintaining a respectful place.
Not including jail officers or court officers but field division has some deputies that think with their badge instead of their brain. They have no leadership meaning no sheriff that cares what they are doing and some of the deputies need to learn common scense and professionalism.

As I sit here reading the posts by individuals who are complaining about a son "not getting fed enough", having to wait while boyfriend is released, or no law enforcement escort for funeral procession, it is clear that there is a lack of accountability consideration. Individuals should be more concerned about their relatives and significant others adhering to laws, following rules & procedures, and being a productive citizen.
Detention facilities are not in place to feed you until you are satisfied, but to provide the basic level of nutrition required by law, nor to make the process of release "convenient" or the stay "pleasant", else it wold be considered a vacation destination with free lodging and entertainment. This is the type of non-sense attitude that render individuals with this thought process as a nuisance.
As for the funeral escort, that is an issue to take up with the funeral home where your loved one was processed. There may have been a fee associated with the service, for which the life insurance or Go Fund Me account proceeds did not cover.

This place is a horrible place to be and to visit. They don't treat you with respect some of the guards are okay but the ratings for this place are terrible. You find stuff in your food they try to cover up their wrong doings, and they don't feed you how you should be feed. O and the store items are to expensive 80 cents for a pack of noodles come on that's outrageous. Something has to be done.

Not pleased at all with the Clayton County Sheriff's department. My family had my mother's funeral at Heatherwood Baptist church off GA HWY 138 and neither Clayton County nor Fayette County would dispatch officers to block traffic and lead the funeral procession to the burial site. Consequently the procession was broken up due to the number of vehicles, traffic not yielding to the procession, and traffic lights and stop signs. This was very disrespectful to our family and to my deceased mother. Very displeased.
After visiting a friend in Riverdale, I was pulled over for being a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood. No warrants! Just wasted my time because I'm black... Black people are not welcome here, it is what it is. I drive a Honda Accord, whats the big deal? They think all black people have criminal records.
Deputy on duty at Walmart on highway 85 straight up told my battle buddy that he wasn t checking no cameras to see who took his wallet he left at the register yesterday. No explanation just an unprofessional response. A persons identity possibly being stolen should be of importance! Protect and serve means more than just chasing fugitives.

I wish I could give 0 starts but overall this place is unprofessional, unsafe and unorganized. They hold people after they're supposed to be released and the screw up the paperwork intentionally. They ignore the judges orders and do whatever they want and if you try to do anything about it they will simply say "This is Victor Hill's court." The guards are criminals. If anyone is interested in a group law suite please let me know. Sometimes the only way to hit them is in their pockets. Let's shut this place down.

This country is Nazi operated. The jails are private businesses that are money making machines all the way up to the judges and other politicians. The judges who own DUI Schools have a conflict of interest that no one does any thing about. The police who practice misconduct are also protected by the courts. I was involved in one who did an illegal search and seizure upon my home, my person and my vehicle. He walked with no discipline. God help this country. Your rights mean absolutely nothing unless YOU enforce them. Know the law and the Constitution. The lawyers will not uphold your rights.
