The Clerk of Court, Tiki Brown, is very professional and went out of her way to help me even though it was an inconvenience to her. These employees work very hard every day dealing with often very difficult customers. They are very much appreciated by the attorneys with whom they work on a daily basis.
You cannot receive any (entitled to) assistance from these people. From the clerk to the police to the sheriff. It's all a big racket and they're disgusting. You call to inquire about your ticket., they stop answering the phone an hour before closing. Then, NO ONE knows anything about you/it, can't find it. But they easily found it to enter a warrant into the system. I wish I could give them zero stars!!! What an undercover way to make money ruin a person's name.
I called to request documents. Each time I called Ms. Pauline was so very helpful. She told me what I needed to do, she also sent the documents as soon as possible with no delay. I am so very happy that Ms. Pauline is working at the Clayton County Clerk Office. What she did for me was extremely important and I am so very thankful she was the one to assist me!
These people are just the worse. You'd think the county would hire employees that would set an example for professionalism but apparently hiring competent individuals is far beyond Clayton county's ability.
I had an appointment at a Clayton co. residence three years ago and the only place to park was on the street. The neighbor across the street backed out their driveway and struck my car. Mind you..., I WAS NOT IN THE CAR, I WAS IN THE HOUSE!!! I called for an officer to get a report. He WROTE me a ticket for 'illegally parked on roadway' and the neighbor got a to very for 'illegally entering roadway'! He REPORTED that I made an illegal U-turn and caused an accident (the clerk exclaims the report says 'illegal stop'). The clerk says to me, "When you went to court and pled no lo on the citation of illegally parked on roadway, the ticket and report stands as the same. You should have disputed that in court!!! Sorry..., nothing we or you can do now!" Then she transferred the call to the criminal division...!
That improper report is costing me jobs and has put 5pts on my licenses! For years I've had a spotless driving record until this nonsense.
Went to courthouse to take care of a rental deed and being pregnant I choose not to walk through the x-ray device so I asked for a pat down just as I do at the airports and other courthouses.
The VERY rude and unprofessional "security" officers told me NO oh well and to come back with a doctors note. After a quick phone call the the Sheriff onsite, I was able to come back in the building and have a pat down so THANK YOU CC Sheriff and to the security officers who opt to NOT do their job, I hope you are looking for a new one soon!
They are the worst I ve gotten a speeding ticket and plead for it to be reduced it was accepted paid all fines then to find out my licenses becomes suspended because they never reduced it I called in to speak with someone and they said my attorney who was on my case is no longer there so they would have to open the case back up..they lied and cheated me and act careless when I brought up the situation. I really think there court system is a joke and they scammed me
I don't usually do reviews of clerks, but as a lawyer, after seeing the existing ones, I wanted to speak out. Over the years I have dealt with dozens of Superior Ciourt clerks, and Clayton is a model for others - efficient, helpful, speedy and organized (and polite). I am sure pro se litigants get frustrated there (and in every county) as clerks can't give legal advise and coach the public, since that's illegal, but when asked to do things clerks CAN do, the folks there, both over the years and recently, get a solid A/Excellent. It's appreciated by lawyers who don't always see this in some other counties.

Terrible service. Clerks have NOT been trained properly and it shows through their lack of knowledge.
