Clay Towship Police Department Review

Crooked. My first encounter with this Police department ended in me being detained "without cause" and the arresting officer stealing 346$ out of my wallet "every cent I had to my name". The second time around I was stopped in front of Algonquin elementary at 4:11 pm. From 7 to 4 during the week that is a school zone 25 mph. After 4 the speed increases to 35 mph. I was traveling at a rate of 33 mph. I proceeded to ask the officer why I was stopped and he said I was speeding in a school zone. Apon me educating him to the time he then changed his resoning for the stop and said I was too close to the white line. Hmmmmmmm generateing revanue much? Scam artists work for this department,

The police offers were very gentle when they handcuffed me, & most of their police vehicles are incredibly spacious. Overall very professional. Will get arrested by them again, for sure.

There is an officer who is very absusive in this department

All they do is judge you, use scare tactics, worry about petty things, and they can never make a correct police report they write some bogus stuff, hmm maybe they just don't remember because they don't write the whole report out right away idk that giving them the benefit of the doubt. But karma is real.

Sad excuse for a police dept. Was making a report and the police officer was laughing about everything, esp the safety of a child.

Horroble police dept.
These people all should be fired immediately.
Should get all new officers, we as people need to report this type of station and workers and get the real problems solved. These people harass you, lie, dont follow thru with police reports/ have altered with white out with a very sloppy job to where it was obvious its scary to think these are the people we have to rely on to keep us safe
