They will kick you when you re down and charge you 300.00 dollars for it. They will threaten to shut your power off if you are just a week late. My wife called last week to set up arrangements to pay the following Friday. They wouldn t work with us told us they would be shutting our power off the next week if not paid. I m 600 miles away the next Monday morning my wife calls me at 10:00 am telling me they were at our house to shut us off. I call them to ask if they would stop the shut off until I could call back that day to pay them the person on the phone not only denied me the opportunity to get it taken care of that day but also has to throw in that I needed to also pay the 300.00 disconnect- reconnect fee. I ve never not paid a bill a lot of times I have to pay it a week or two late it s no secret I do the best I can but when I have a truck to run and the rate per mile is lower then the cost of a gallon of fuel times can get a little tough. All I asked for was an extra week to pay them but they would rather risk ruining a family s freezer full of meat to make that extra 300.00 dollars. When we first stared our service with Clarke electric we paid a deposit and had to be moved into our house within a few days. It took them a week after paying our deposit to turn on our power. The people lived at that house before us was 6 months or so behind on their bill I feel like we ve been treated less than because of the last person to have their service at this address. I m hey took advantage of my family and I. We always pay our bill. Clarke electric coop have been nothing but rude with mafia like threats if you are even a day late make most of there money with disconnect/ reconnect fees.
We got hit by the storms at 6am been without power. When I tried calling they wouldn't take any info because my husband ex wife name still on bill. They want 250 to change it. I just don't understand dang co-op. Update got ahold of someone around 5:30 this morning and things are straightened out and they were here a hour later. Thank you all so much for getting wet and getting our power back on!!! You guys rock!!
