Exciting bus tour with this option for 24 hours to get on and off at the chosen location Less pleasant boat tour, the same drive as the bus which also does not give the same indications as the English guide I will have to choose 2 different companies

The Hop on and hop off was great experience to explore the city. There are almost 9 or 10 stops where you can get down or catch the bus and explore that area..you can also get few discounts vouchers at the bus or tickets counter for the museum, Heineken experience and other Amsterdam siteseeing experience.. You can also explore the city with canal cruise experience, this was amazing experience..
Special thanks to the helpful and friendly staff Member Lourdes who gave my family and I plenty of advice and top recommendations to visit! Thanks for making our visit a joyful day even as the staff works during Christmas Day!
Recommended one hundred percent. We got an offer to be a family. We were able to see all the monuments of Berlin without any problem from the bus and with an audio guide in Spanish. We went down and up as many times as we wanted. In less than ten minutes there was the next bus to go up. Lis children will enjoy the trip. It was worth it since there are monuments that are some distance away from each other and children do not get tired so much of walking
Super cool! The ticket is valid for 24 hours, you can use the buses or boats as often as you want. Driving a boat is simply a MUST! The city from the water is awesome! The captain (Luis) was extremely entertaining, you could see a lot and sat well. Free headphones, audio guide (all languages can be selected directly in the vehicle) for free! An absolute highlight if you have never been to Amsterdam. Highly recommended!
An insane wait and a long queue at the boats. People gather at the stops, but the boats are full. Awesome! A money machine at the expense of tourists. Hop on - hop off - bad crap.
You will wait along time for the bus to come.. Also, most of the stops there were no signs for the bus stop!! Therefore, you will not know where to wait for it if you go by walk and you want to stop in another bus stop station.. They should put a sign
Quite possibly the worst tour I ve been on for this company. We usually always start off with a Hop On Hop Off Bus in each city that offers it. However, this bus gave no information other than selling me to go to a specific site for another tour. I don t recommend this. Walk around based on popular sites or get a ride somewhere. Much less expensive and more comfortable.
Highly recommended, very nice staff. I mention mainly Astrid and Rosario that apart from understanding us for the language they have answered with their smile to all our questions.
Honestly, this was such a waste of money and the staff are extremely misleading when it comes to purchasing tickets. We waited over an hour for a bus ride that was supposed to come every fifteen minutes (or that s what we were told at the information desk near the Van Gogh museum). The guided city tour gave very little information and wasn t a live tour at all- in fact, it was a recording. The whole operation was extremely sketchy. Save your money and do a nice boat tour instead.
Beautiful and very relaxing boat ride, with earphones to listen to interesting explanations and curiosities. Bravissima Cecilia, kind, friendly, smiling and competent.
If you plan ahead does not worth it! Just get Bus and Tram tickets. You will be able to go much faster! Keep in mind that at 18.00 they are Not on the road anymore...Friendly stuff!
It is very worthwhile to take the bus tour. Passes the main tourist spots. Take the opportunity to do it right at the beginning of the trip, so you have an overview of the city, it's just easier to find later.
We've been about one year ago in Amsterdam. The red City Sightseeing always offer a good overview over a unknown city so we also chose them this time. I specially liked that they have also boats so you get a totally different perspective than from the bus an we also saved the money on a separate Grachten Tour . With the app I had also a very good overview where we've been and where other boats or buses are, so we could decide to change or stay. What was little bit annoying was, that the some of the informations where repeated on different buses and boats again and again. At some stations there are very much people that want to get in, so you have to choose your boarding stations little bit strategic like in every other big city, too.
They had a really nice and lengthy dinner cruise, which was also in English for our tour group! Tour leader organized it for us so I'm unaware of how much it cost, but I'm sure that its worth it. They serve pizza on board for you as well as other drinks!
Today me and family had a very unpleasant encounter. We had already purchased our tickets, but were forced to wait in line behind those that had yet to in the rain, later when we asked one of the employees if we could board the bus and not wait in line, she gave us the go ahead, yet another employee VERY rudely stoped us with a sassy and demeaning tone which was frankly insulting towards a paying costumer, as a result of miscommunication between the employees, and in front of other costumers.
Not only that, but you spend a lot of time waiting around, and their maps and app are inaccurate and honestly you would be better off walking around the city on your own.
Great Way to See Amsterdam Booked city sightseeing Hop on Hop off bus and canal boat cruise for the 3/04/19. Was very easy to locate pickup point at Amsterdam Central Station where you could either get on boat cruise on bus. Opted to go on boat cruise first and was absolutely blown over by the Hostess Delia. She was very helpful and kindly offered to print my mobile ticket for me as I was running out of battery, Thanks Delia you are a credit to Citysightseing Amsterdam. Also thanks to the boat driver who charged my phone. The complete canal boat tour took just over 1hour 30mins with lots of stops. Free earphones were provided and a selection of languages available to listen to information about places of interest in Amsterdam. Then got on the hop on bus , for the city tour, the complete tour takes about an hour and half , with full commentary given in number of languages, as I only had a day in Amsterdam only got off in the complementary Gassan Diamond factory tour. Overall pleased with City Sightseeing Amsterdam and would certainly book city sightseeing tours in other cities as I have done in the past.
The best way to get around in Amsterdam- the canal boats are serve as water taxis to the most popular areas, and you can also use the buses if you purchase the combined pass. The onboard staff were so helpful, especially Simona, who I want to give a shout-out to...she carefully looked at times and mapped where to go when we wanted to make sure we made our Anne Frank Huis tour in plenty of time.
We booked the 24 bus hop-on/hopoff and pre-booked a view visited, including the Heineken experience from the official CitySightseeing Amsterdam shop. When arriving in the at the bus the guide told us that we won't make it to that Heineken experiemce at the prefixed time. Even though from the same company he couldn't help and we had to return to the shop. There the same guy who sold us the tickets checked and found out that he couldn't change the time (he cannot change the time!). I asked to cancel everything and get the refund. But the tickets purchased 30 minutes earlier were unrefundable. He also couldn't call his guides; so back at the bus we had to queue again at the very end even though the guide, who couldn't do anything, remembered us. My advice: by your tours and tickets on the street: it might be scam, but at least it's cheaper...
We have got the chance to go for both the bus and the boat experience. Despite the price - which is unconvenient for one day - we have seen a deep disorganization on this company. The shops to find tickets are no clear indications, and so the stops on the buses. We miss many stops due to them, including missing maps, earphones and a clear decent guide.
Seemed to us like a waste of time and money. The boats and buses are limited to the outskirts of downtown, so hopping off and on is not as good as I was expecting, since the locations aren't very central. Lots of waiting on board at each stop and to get on again if you do hop off. Better off renting your own boat for 90 for 2 hours and seeing the central parts the big tour boats can't access. Or just walk and see the city.
Shernalyn was sooo nice, friendly and very informative about Amsterdam. She was very helpful with tourist information. This was an awesome hop on hop off experience. Highly recommended.
The representatives are very misleading about the service. After waiting at multiple stops for over an hour, I was unable to catch a bus or cruise. Save your money & get walking shoes instead!
I purchased the 24 hour boat only pass (I had been tipped off in advance not to do the bus) and was very happy with my choice. For 25 Euro I thought it was a pretty good deal and it was a great way to acquaint myself with getting around the Old City on two different lines. The longest I waited for a ride was 20 minutes which isn't very long. Sofia (one of the tour guides) was very knowledgeable and coupled with a delightful personality made the excursion even more enjoyable. I highly recommend the boat only package.
The boat tour was very great and is only recommended. However, I advise on the bus tour, it brings a nothing and is far too expensive for what you then just looks
Bought cards for transport I am Amsterdam. The cost of travel includes travel through the canals. This is something incredible! There is an audio guide.
Always beautiful to hang out by the canal with patatos or a cool beverage during the summer. Quite touristic but then you see the beauty if the diversity in the crowd
