im going to scope out this place. maybe tomorrow, if i can get there without paying extra for public transit, from the green line. so maybe i wait until tuesday when hopefully i have a high school locker with the number turning locks. i was here at a family owned bates motel in the mid-late 1990s and noticed some bullet holes in a wall patched up with wallpaper squares. i camped out in my jetta behind some italian restaurant and returned the key in the am. the steam cleaned carpets were drying out and there was alot of junk pilled in shopping carts in the carports below the 3 stories. i think i was on the second floor. otherwise i will scope out the place for more clues.

my cousins lived here at a half address in a tiny apartment when my cousin's dad worked at american airlines where his mom worked too, which is where they met. i was pimply and wore purple birkenstocks, 1992 or 1993. my cousin was a baby when i visited with my mom and now my cousin goes to the maritime academy (i tried to apply there too and spoke to admissions, i was interested in engines but i admit i am not always the best student; my grandma's boyfriend's granddaughter wants to go there too to the maritime academy.). redondo is friendly without being stuck up like alot of the beach cities in LA. once i can get that storage locker i can cover alot of territory.

trying to budget and considering the samsung tablet. i also want to eat out at a vegan chinese place.

"Officer" TIMOTHY MCFARLAND needs to be removed from duty and given some retraining on basic American rights and laws. Walking down the sidewalk with a camera is NOT something to attack and arrest someone over. Public photography (freedom of the press) is part of the first amendment. The 9th Circuit (California) has ruled so and there's even a California law (148g) stating someone cannot even be detained for simply engaging in public photography.

Unprofessional and uneducated in state laws.

Unprofessional and uneducated in state laws.
They fail to ID themselves and hide their name tags with their hands.
srgt snakenborg has an ego that will unfortunately for the citizens get in the way of him protecting us and our rights.

The friendliest cops i have encountered in my life. I like the fact that they always wave back when driving by. There response time, to a non emergency call, was 4 minutes. That shows they guininly care about your safety.

Literally some cop in a k9 suv almost ran us off the road and stopped in the middle of the street and asked what I was doing as I was trying to turn. Wow. Love this area but the police here are next level. Chill out

Thank you to our FALLEN PEACE OFFICER HEROES. YOU are first responders. YOU have never failed in my safekeeping. YOUR watch is the reason we are regaining our parks and beaches. YOU are the ones breaking up the domestic violence and stopping the thievery created by this virus. My veritable hat is off to you.

Last night at 7:35pm, I had a knock at my door, as I wasn t expecting anyone I turned my porch light on and peeled thru the blinds of my locked door. There was a man standing off the steps looking down at his phone in his hand, I asked him can I help you? He muttered something under his breath, and hearing my dog bark, he turned and walked south west toward Broadway and Sapphire. (I live on S Guadalupe) I called the RB police station, as this seemed to me as if he were checking to see if someone was home or not before breaking into the house. I knew my next door neighbor had just left her house. The phone was answered after about six rings and I was immediately asked if this was an emergency, I said no and they put me on hold. Fair enough. A minute later Alex picked up the phone. I explained the above and his snarky answer was so you re calling because someone knocked on your door????? I said that to me, this was unusual behavior, reiterating that I knew my neighbor was out. Again with voice full of incredulity, he asked what I want him to do.....I said send someone out here and check this guy out. So he asked for a description, which I gave him, then again with total disgust at this waste of time he asked if I wanted an officer to follow up with me, I said yes. And he hung up. I have yet to have anybody follow up with me. You want to know why police are generally disliked??? Treating citizens like their concerns are a waste of time is only one reason. Police are sworn to protect the citizens of our city, I did not feel protected or listened to at all. Seriously worst police interaction I ve ever had!!!! Alex needs to be reschooled in customer service.

Cops in Redondo Beach will chase you away from their town while your there on vacation spending money. I was sitting on some rocks watching people learn to sail when a Redondo Beach patrol car drove up and stopped. I thought nothing of it as we were enjoying the atmosphere. He proceeded to go on his loudspeaker and say put out the marijuana I looked around at the other beach visitors and did not see anyone smoking anything. I ignored him and he announced he was talking to me! He was literally 35 from me and could easily have walked over and saw we had no marijuana and were stopped with our bikes from the shade hotel where we are staying. I expressed to him that we had no marijuana and he circled back twice while we were there to observe us. I am not a kid, I have spent several thousand dollars in this city while I am here and I expect a police force that protects and respects its citizens. Next vacation I ll spend in Santa Monica or a neighboring city because Redondo police are jerks.

When they came to my home for my roommate they arrested me because they found "pants that could fit me" in the same room that had a empty bag they claimed was used for drugs. They also took over 1000$ that was with my ID. They kept my ID because it expired 2 days prior and said they didnt know who the $ belongs to. I also needed 15 stitches because they injured me after opening the door for them then sent me a bill for like 1700. They told me "oh well wrong place, wrong time". Most of them(including Snakenborg) were professional and courteous. Its too bad that the actions of other officers lowers them to 1 star

This department has a blatant disregard for the rule of law and operates in a unprofessional and frat house like manor. Zero regard for journalists and the media as they fear the exposure any public oversight would render.

It should be dismantled and several key personnel prosecuted. No one would be better than Officer Tim McFarland would be more suited for the previously mentioned prosecution as he is a dangerous man/baby, with a chip on his shoulder and a gun on his hip.

Bottom line, Redondo Beach is best avoided. For business or as a vacation destination. You would be safer in Tijuana.
