If you have an outstanding ticket with Galveston, go to Open Court on Monday at 8am, the judge is very fair and will work with you!
Hello Everyone, I am needing assistance with something. My sister has a custody order with the father of her child. With Covid-19 affecting many people I want to know how does this affect court orders? The news said that people need to stay at home because of covid-19, but the police officer said otherwise. On april 26th, the father came with the police to get the child because the police says that covid-19 doesn't affect custody orders. So everything that the news saying about Covid-19 isn't validated? My nephew travels from texas to georgia and south carolina because dad lives over there and in goes in a car passing multiple states being at risk in contacting Covid-19. People and children are dying from this disease and the police says I cant do anything because there is a court order. If my sister ask the father anything she gets insulted by him, and she doesnt even know who the child is around at that time. So my question is what does she do? Does she keep letting her child travel across country possibly contacting covid-19? My sister has been seriously doing the protocols to stop spreading covid 19 because she has other children, our mom is a diabetic, im disabled, and we have been isolating ourselves at home from this epidemic. When we ask lawyers, social workers, CPS about the situation they cant give us an answer because they say "I dont know what to tell you"? So if we cant get an answer from professionals, the father behaves like a child when ask serious questions, the police says if my sister doesnt follow the order she can get a felony for denying the child? What does she do, this is the life of her baby and all she can do is protect him when he is at home with us because she doesn't know how he is being manage with dad? So if anyone can give us an answer and help us it would really be appreciated.
Quick when you go in for the court date, but no matter how nice you are the lady's behind the window in the lobby are as rude as can be!
Visiting from out of town, I had to stop by here to deal with a parking ticket I had received even though I had paid for parking.
The staff at the counter was very nice and resolved my issue in a few minutes.
Tried to explain a wrongful parking ticket by speaking with an employee that took me to the courtroom, I guess so they could record the complaint.
I showed him a color photo that I had taken clearly showing no red curb.
He produced three black and white photos and insisted it showed a red curb.
I explained how ridiculous that was and he got real touchy and took me to his computer which did no better. Rude, not helpful, Galveston shouldn t, be running a scam on their own residents like this, especially at Christmas.
As a resident I am upset and will probably avoid downtown businesses now.
If your family is shady and you were born here, but grew up some where else dont move back!
