Their rates and their charging policies are absurd...

Their rates and their charging policies are absurd. They DO NOT tell you this up front, but they charge you $30 just to transfer an active account into your name (it s probably even more if water has been disconnected), and their charges are over $60/month, even if you never turn on a faucet, flush a toilet, or have any trash to put out on the curb. They literally charge you more than $60 per month to simply have an account in your name, regardless of the fact that you re not using their services, and because they re so behind the times, they charge you a fee every month just to pay your bill online. Of course, they certainly don t inform of their $65 monthly fees beforehand, which is unfortunate if you have a vacant rental home for months on end. This practice is entirely criminal, Cocoa. You monopolize utility services, forcing us to use your utilities, leaving no competitors from which to receive service, and yet you charge outrageous base fees even when no services are rendered. I m grateful we ll never return to live there, because your utility company would make me ashamed to call myself a resident. Shame on you.

Customer service varies based on who's helping you...

Customer service varies based on who's helping you; some times you get somebody good who takes the time to listen to your concerns or questions and answers them thoroughly, other times you get somebody who tries to hurry you off the phone and won't actually listen to you, so your questions go unanswered. I've found myself using email more and more often for communication so that I have my own recorded transcript of our correspondence.

I would give it three stars for the above, however I have to knock it down to two stars because there is literally no way to get a water bill below $80 due to the miscellaneous fees added on to the bill, including the sewage and trash and the flat fee simply to use the water in the first place. Given that there are literally no available competitors and there's been an ongoing lead issue with the water, you'd think they could be more lenient on some of these fees and actually just charge you for water used instead of the base water fee plus water used. :(

BEYOND, THE worst customer service, EVER, But what are you going to do? They know you can't get your water from anyone else so they do NOTHING to help you. Go ahead and give them a call, you wait thru 10 minutes of "recorded messages" just to wait in line for over an hour, and you'll be the FIRST ONE in line! Lazy, useless slobs who couldn't find a job anywhere else.

I currently have service with them on two houses since I am in the process of selling my old house. I keep regularly getting the bill for my old house at my new address, but have had multiple times where they just don t send the bill for the new house.

When you are handling bills for two houses it is extremely easy to not notice that you haven t received a bill yet. Then when you finally do receive a bill it s loaded with delinquent charges.

Then when you call customer service they are extremely rude about it.

Would be nice if they could send a text message notifying late payments. The only option is to have direct payments, but frankly I don t trust them.

Called the City about my water meter..receptionist transferred me to Asst of City Mr.Robert which had Jimmy the technician explain the meter installation.Overall very professional and helpful from our City ! Great Work!

I'm not surprised to see so many dissatisfied people who have experienced the actions of the city. To run a city with a rico mentality shows why the funding for the city must be removed. A petition has been sent to the capital, we will see how that is answered.

Terrible. What a ridiculous system! You can fill out an application online, but then they require you to jump through ridiculous hoops to have your water turned on. It's like returning to the dark ages.

No phone calls and you shut off water on a Thursday. Make payment Thursday night and come home from work Friday to no water. Meaning no water for the entire weekend. I didnt realize my water bill was so high. Just gave my sister $400 mid Decemeber to pay on it cause her and her room mate didnt have it. Its my fault i guess for putting the water in my name for my sister and now stuck with the lease and the overdue bills. $200 a month though seems ridiculous.
