This place gets a half star for an available parking space, but stay in your car, put that baby in reverse and GTFOT!!!
Things that need to be replaced, not repaired:
1. The hitting mats.
2. The grass (There is a makeshift road right down the middle of the range, with power trucks driving right through it!!!)
3. The balls
4. The roof (unavailable to hit from, because it's not "safe")
5. Batting cages (looks like something out of horror movie)
If anything, the "profits" are probably used irresponsibly and not for the betterment of the property. It's very sad.
I expect a response from the owner with "We take these reviews very seriously", but you don't follow up with improvements. That ingredient is what is important.
There should be a show called Driving Range Rescue, with the pilot episode there!!
Friendly staff. Driving range is sufficient. Need to add a few more distance markers.
Staff is friendly. Price is not bad. It's a driving range. What do you expect.
Decent range. Nothing fancy. Range is plain but does have yardage well marked in 50yd increments. Also 2 basket nets about 50yd out to aim for. Balls were all in good shape.
I got done at 7pm on a Saturday in June and they had closed by then. Supposed to be open until 9. Call first if it's near closing.
I ve gone to this range consistently for the last few years. The only positive thing I can say is the staff are cordial and friendly. I ll be going to Tees golf center in Conshohocken from here on out. Multiple times I ve driven 20 mins to show up at city line (not on tuesdays, when they close at 7:00pm) on weekdays and during the weekend. Their hours state they are open until 8:00pm every day except Tuesday, but it s simply not the case. Please re-state your hours or stay open until you say you will be. Thanks
This place is so run down. They should sell it to someone willing to put some money into renovations and bring it back to its glory.
Sept 20 2017: Lowering my review from 2 to 1 star. I was there today, I really can't see how anyone could give this place 3 stars let alone 5. It is a total dump. Every mat is worn out, and the balls are in VERY rough shape, the rubber tees are all 5 inches tall and basically useless for anyone even remotely serious about golf. I went 2 weeks ago and there was no staff there... 5 of us stood waiting thinking they went for dinner and would be back shortly - I left and came back 20 mins later and still no staff so the folks standing around walked out in the range and collected balls by hand. I hit about 80 balls and still no staff.
Update 8/10/15: They spent a little money on the place in the last year making it usable. Some new mats and plenty of rubber tees and a little much needed Pine-Sol. It is still not 'up to par'. Apologies for the golf pun. Many years ago this place was a cash-cow and you had to wait to hit balls or use the batting cages. I can't understand why they continue to let it languish. I still can't go to 3 Stars.
Summer 2014: I hadn't been here in years and it has really fallen into disrepair - it's a real dump. 2 stars is being generous.
Even though the place is not as nice as it once was, my son and I still enjoyed the time there and plan to go back quite often. One big reason is the very nice and helpful staff, especially Frank whom we met today. He was professional, nice and very helpful. We are looking forward to going back to see Frank. He deserves a promotion and I m sure is a big reason why people keep coming back. Even though we were there for the driving range, it would be great if they brought back the batting cages as well.
They could definitely use a remodeling at this place, it use to be a fun place to hit baseballs or play minature golf.
Range balls are horrible. hitting any iron with these range balls is horrendous. You might as well be hitting rocks.
I do not recall a visit here. Google wouldn't allow me to delete it.
Nice to hit a few balls at the driving range. Looks like it's under new management but I haven't confirmed. The guy that runs the place is a really nice guy. Good people makes you want to support and do business with them. I got a helpful tip and watched deer walk at the end of the range unbothered by the sound because they know the balls weren't coming that far. Lol
better now with improved mats and nice pre-purchase bulk accounts. some practice putting area would be nice.
