Amazingly intimate and a great investment . Gonna buy season tickets
Fun night, you can tell the actors put a lot of work into the show.
Amazing show! Venue is small and had no AC, so we all felt like we were "In the heights" with all of that heat. Lol
Besides that, everything was amazng!
It was my first time at City Lights Theater. I enjoy the play and will go again.
Quaint little community theatre. You can often park at the school at the corner. Almost all of the seats are good, v except for the 'edge' seats.
Great Christmas concert with Ren G. Sound and staging were very good.
This is a great little venue. Super intimate with great seats. The parking is easy, there's a lot across the street that is $5.00 and taken care of by the theater.
We have been subscribers to City Lights for years. The productions feature thought-provoking drama in an intimate environment. A real entertainment bargain in the heart of San Jose.
Great little black box theater, until the air conditioning broke. I have been a few times for various shows and love a recent one called J/K Caberet (outstanding performances!), but the air conditioning was dead and it was August! It was nearly unbearable. I had a hand fan and a cold water bottle. Then they sold out of cold water and only had room temp. Blegh! I hope they can get that AC fixed, I would love to see another show.
Just saw the holiday show, " Making God Laugh." Beautifully staged and acted, terrific set, and just the right combination of sassy and sentimental. You will enjoy this show, don't miss it.
Acting is always superb. They addr losing their space so looking for a new home. Hope it's better than the current space.
The personnel and atmosphere was conducive for watching shows.
Wonderful theater venue! I've loved all the shows I have gone to see there. Check out their pay-what-you-will-nights!
Great little theater. Comfortable seating, small stage. City Lights Theater Company feels like it's about to outgrow the space, and it's production quality shows it.
Very high quality performances in an intimate setting.
Loved the play, the acting was quite good. There's only 1 bathroom though so remember that before going in the theatre.
I saw the play, "Mothers & Sons." It was excellent acting. Too bad there were less than 100 people there. They are also losing the space so they are looking for a new home.
Wonderful local theatre professionally produced. Great line up of shows. Good value for your money.
Small intimate venue. Nice staff. Sets for the play were a bit simple. Good wine at intermission.
Intimate environment.
we feel that we are not just spectators, we are part of the play
Small theater and finding parking was a challenge. The play was greate.
Amazing production of Sarah Ruehl's play Eurydice.
Every aspect including the ticket taker was first rate.
Plays on Broadway are not better!!!
Great performances. They need more bathrooms. First come first serve on seats
Great theater company that assists and often Hosts Notre Dame High School events.
Little theatre with great program and great seating
This is a very laid-back Theatre everything I have seen here has been fantastic
Intimate, refreshments, social time after the show to mingle with actors. Great shows and actors!
Small theater, all good seats. Good selection of different plays.
Just saw an excellent production of "In the Heights". Highly recommend this theater.
This is a small theater but there is nothing small about the talent and plays they put together. Each time I go to city lights theater company I feel inspired, moved, and I can't wait to come back.
Great space for plays. Parking is limited, you may need to park a couple blocks away and walk.
Very good top notch top quality performances here which is always followed every night with a meet-and-greet on stage with the actors after eachperformance where you can toast a glass of wine and have some chocolatesalong with the people who have entertained and performed for you as well as made you laugh
I love the intimate setting of the theater, and the staff were all friendly and engaging. Stage Kiss was thoroughly enjoyable and I look forward to seeing what City Lights will do next.
Great performance of Making God Laugh. This venue has tremendous heart.
Good show. Friendly staff. No bad seats. Allow time for parking.
Wonderful liitle theatre with amazing plays and friebdly staff (including the actors).
Love this small theatre and it's very close knit group. I've been a few times and is a perfect outing if you want to support local arts and have a small and intimate atmosphere.
A great intimate venue. Always enjoy my shows because there really is no bad seat in the house.
Just saw Eurydice at CLT. Brilliant. Superb cast, made doubly superb by the actors using spoken words and those using sign language. Haunting, timeless myth, brought beautifully to life. See this!
Excellent seating, not a bad seat in the house. Actors are very professional, and the play touched on many issues that were prevalent in the 50s and remain in today's environment.
It is always an amazing show and super friendly volunteers that help out. Love this place. :)
Saw "Rocky Horror" on Saturday night at City Lights. We all loved it! Very fun and a spectacular vision of the show, everyone was having a great time. Highly recommend it to any Rocky Horror fans or someone who is looking for a great place to see an "edgy" musical (warning : it's not "My Fair Lady"!). We took some business associates and they loved it. Exciting, well choreographed, acted and the music was so fun (left singing "Let's do the Time Warp....". Well done City Lights!
Needs to get air conditioning fixed. Would be much more enjoyable if it wasn't so hot.
Ms Bennet was a great show. Casting/acting was perfect, writing was superb.
