City Eye Works Review

I have been going to City Eyeworks for several years now and will never go back. I suggest you go elsewhere unless you enjoy dealing with a rude, unhelpful, and incompetent staff, being blamed for issues that aren t your fault, or getting the wrong prescription.

Last year, I got an eye exam for new contacts. I was given the wrong prescription, in that they ordered the wrong contacts in the wrong strength and gave them to me.. I had fuzzy vision, depth perception issues, and headaches, until I figured it out and got the correct prescription. No apologies given. Apparently, my contact lens prescription wasn t updated and neither were the correct charges submitted to my insurance. When I went to get contact lenses from another retailer at the end of the year, because I no longer trust City Eyeworks with anything to do with my eye health, they refused to release my prescription, saying it had expired!! They said they only approved an eyeglass exam and not a contact lens exam, even though I have only purchased contact lens from them and went to get new contact lenses. I was never notified of this discrepancy and regardless the fee should have automatically been deducted from my insurance, as it has been every year. It doesn t make any sense why they do a contact lens exam yet not update my contact lens prescription.

The office wanted me to come in for another eye exam, which I refuse to do. Why should I give them more money to correct their mistake? Now I m out my eye benefit for the year. I have been suffering from severe health problems that have incapitated me and now I will legally blind without my contacts. Please don t patronize such a horrible business. The front desk staff is the WORST I have ever dealt with, they are costing the doctor business. Go elsewhere!!

Super competent and professional doctors and staff.

Good eye place. Helpful with contact rebates. One of the doctors used to be a laser eye tech, she gives great advice on whether laser eye surgery is for you. Nice to get this advice when you know they don't have a big financial reason to sway you one way or the other.

City Eyeworks is fabulous. Our entire family has gone here for many years for our vision needs and they have always taken very good care of us. The staff is down to earth and helpful. The doctors are knowledgeable and patient. They get my highest recommendation!

Hope you don't work a normal work week cause if you need to schedule on a Saturday, they charge a $50 fee now. I'd been going here for 5 years,loved them, and recommended them to everyone I knew looking for an eye clinic.... but that fee is ridiculous. They're essentially punishing you now for working a M-F 9am-6pm job while still needing routine eye exams. Saturday is literally my only free days, and I'd prefer not to use PTO in the week for an appointment when there are 100 other clinics in the area that don't extort money from their patients for having a responsible life and career.

This place was fantastic! Loved the selection, the service, and Lisa was an amazing human! Will definitely return to this place for all my future eye needs!

I was very happy to have received a referral to this clinic from a family member. Dr. Pam Chin was both friendly and very efficient, and she quickly diagnosed a problem related to the year of working remotely. We then talked through a variety of solutions to make sure we found the one that best fit my situation. Thanks Dr. Pam!

They did a good job with my glasses repair. Friendly staff.

My children all got their exams and glasses here, and after seeing the care that they received, I went there myself because my new contact prescription was giving me issues. They addressed the issue in a day and my eyes feel much better. Competent staff, nice facility, and they have treated me and my children very well!
