Love the French press and savory crepes.

Love the French press and savory crepes.

Update: This is my 7th visit to this diner and the quality has not gone down, the quality of service has gone up. Staff are more friendly than ever and very patient. Theyre amazing when it comes to the information on coffee if your unsure of what to get. If you plan on a nice group breakfast they have plenty of seating as well as lunchtime food as well, incase you need to grab a quick bite to eat. It is inexspensive eating being all there food is less than $8 and the quantity is plentiful. On top of all this they are in the heart of downtown and it makes for a beautiful walk through town before and after your visit. I plan on visiting more in the future and I only wish the best for this place.

Great food, bit of a wait. The only dislike about this restaurant is that that I don't believe that the space the restaurant occupies was meant for a reasteraunt. There is no good for the cooking area, so the dinning area can be smokey. There is also no proper dish tank so paper plates and plastic utensils. Aside from this good food and good (French press) coffee.

I ve only ever had food picked up by someone else from here, until today.
I ran and did the pick up today, and I ll never do it again.
The crepes are great but the service is awful. I don t care about having to wait, it s a small place and there were two people with orders ahead of mine, I totally understand.
What I can t understand is the bad attitudes of the two employees. Just cold, unfriendly, no smiles, minimal eye contact (and when there was eye contact it came off as annoyance).
I will be the first to admit I suffer from RBF, but I had a mask on and they didn t, and all I could see was cold, unfriendly attitudes. I will add that the younger of the two said have a great weekend when I left, and even though it came off as very forced and insincere, I will take it. It still doesn t make up for the bad attitudes though. Great crepes, not such great service, and who cares how good your food is if I feel COMPLETELY uncomfortable while I m getting it.

City crepes has an excellent selection of decadent crepes, from sweet to savory and some in between, and the owner and staff are always friendly.

They manage to cultivate a cozy, classy atmosphere in the midst of downtown Jackson, and do so at reasonable prices. Most items on the menu are $6-8, and are well worth it in quality and in taste. The coffee is freshly pressed, it's good quality, but nothing fancy.

Overall I highly recommend stopping by for a bite for breakfast or for a quick brunch!

The food may be good but the poor service more than makes up for that fact. We walked in 30 minutes before closing time and the greeting the owner offered us was to threaten us to be OUT of there before closing time came. She was not even a little bit helpful with questions we had, and in fact answered with snippy impatience. We won't be back.

Great little hole-in-the-wall crepe shop in downtown Jackson - and believe me, Jackson is in dire need of some great things. Every crepe I've tried, whether sweet or savory, has always been delicious, and they are pretty large so it is totally feasible to split them with another person if you don't have a huge appetite. Pleasant atmosphere, fun decor, friendly staff, prompt service, and REAL homemade whipped cream - what's not to love?

This place is excellent! I love the great variety of hot, fresh crepes they have to offer. They also have a nice selection of drinks which included Italian Sodas, which I love. I tried a chicken and pesto option during one visit, and another which was very similar to a monte cristo sandwich (ham, turkey and cheese with raspberry sauce). They were both AMAZING! I can't wait for my next visit, I want to try ALL OF THEM!!!

We love crepes but the service was terrible.
The young wo.an behind the counter acted like any question we had was an annoyance.
It is really too bad as we really wanted to love this place.

This was our second visit. Both times we received great service and loved the crepes. Everything tastes so fresh. The savory crepes make a great lunch; mine was filled with turkey, cream cheese, bacon, tomato and spinach. Like a fancy BLT!

I have been to City Crepes numerous times. The crepes are always delicious and the staff is always smiling. You should take a friend so you can split a savory crepe and a sweet crepe because you won't be able to decide on just one!

I like the food here, but I can never get it. The posted hours are narrow and difficult for anyone who works in a professional job to patronize. Then, prior to today the last 3 out of 4 times I've tried to come to this business during posted hours they haven't been open, either because they were closed for some random reason or because no one showed up to open, and I waited until 15 minutes past the listed opening time. Then today I make a special trip, dealing with annoying downtown construction, and again they're closed. 25 minutes wasted. I even checked facebook first, but they didn't post their closure there. Maybe I'm supremely unlucky to have missed them 4 out of 5 times now in the last ~6 months or so, but each time I come and they aren't open it makes me that much less likely I would try coming back.

I will never go back. Bring your own plates. We asked for extra paper plates since we were all sharing and were refused. Wewent to celebrate my mothers birthday and it was memorable but not in a good way. We could hear the staff complaining about our group - yes we had children and they were excited but controlled. And it was midday and there were few other customers. They should put a sign up that says "no children and bring your own utensils" along with the signs to bus your own table and to not take the salt or pepper.
