Food was okay, some was great but some was very basic for the price. Overpriced. Service at first seemed great but became slow and forgetful. I guess thats what happens when places include gratuity into the bill. Restuarant design was nice but neither lock in the girls bathroom worked well

Visited this place for the rooftop. This restaurant has 3 floors, the 3rd floor being the rooftop. The Margaritas and the Firecracker Shrimp were amazing. The fried calamari were a bit tough to chew on. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to those visiting the North Jersey area
Came to City Bistro for brunch & it was delicious!! Such a cute spot + The mimosas were on point & the avocado toast and pancakes were so good! I would definitely recommend coming here for brunch with a group of friends.
It was neither good nor bad. The french toast was cold, but my friend liked the pizza. The small portion and cheap presentation was negative parts. The atmosphere is good with nice staff.
Absolutely do not go here. Service is terrible. Food is barely passable for the cost. My friend ordered eggs which were sent out completely uncooked, as in the whites were completely raw. Only go here if you needed a reservation 4 days prior and everywhere else was booked. It was completely obvious why this place was the only one with reservations. We had to beg for 9$ drinks and it was painfully obvious the chefs had never cooked an egg before. ,,
First off, City Bistro is (in normal times) a great drinking spot. The rooftop is always a great time especially in warm weather (although I must admit the TV management could be improved by making sure the best games are playing, but that s a personal issue that I can get over). Id argue it s the best happy hour spot in the city.
I ve been here to eat twice now, first time for dinner on a whim and most recently brunch. I ve been pleasantly surprised both times.
Brunch with a friend this weekend was excellent. He ordered the French toast which was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside thanks to the cornflakes.
I opted for the burger and it was excellent. I like a classic burger and that s exactly what this was. Brioche bun, shredded lettuce, red onion, juicy tomato, melted cheese, and a pickle spear as the proverbial cherry on top. Sweet potato fries were above average too.
We also put down a few mimosas a piece because, well, brunch.
I can confidently say that City Bistro has one of the better burgers in Hoboken.
Ambience was good. Apetizers were fine. The actual entrees left me unimpressed. I would have to say that the portion size as good. The chicken entree was huge chunks of fried chicken buried under salad. Shrimp languini was slightly better but not very flavorful.
