I went through CIS because they are associated with Progressive Insurances', Homesite Insurance (arm, or partner to Progressive, I'm unsure of their affiliation) and I assumed this connection would make the process seamless.
CIS sent an inspector to the wrong home and wrote in the opening of the email "Looks like we inspected the wrong address before" without an apology. Sending an inspector to the wrong home, along with their other blunders, made working with them and Homesite Insurance laughable, and incredible frustrating. It took about a month between opening our claim with Homesite Insurance to getting our system replaced- Homesite mentioned it would only take a couple days.
To be fair to CIS, it was just as frustrating working with Homesite Insurance because they made some ridiculous mistakes too.
