A visit that changes the flow of tourists in the historic center.
Take the full tour with the very professional guide ... even in Italian we can follow and we see the back of the decor.
The museums are very interesting for lovers of the 7th art, only downside some attractions did not work (the green background and the costume)

Among the many money spent for Rome even just to eat, so the ticket for the visit seems correct. Brava the guide (maybe we were lucky) also competent explained things and curiosities that otherwise would have escaped. Of course, the times for big sets like Fellini used it have changed today, assembly is used more. Curious and interesting the cinema museum and the submarine ... nearby public transport. Some studios are still used for filming and events.

I was expecting something better. They did not let us enter the studios which was to be in the visit because the film they had just shot had yet to come out in theaters. In the other sets, we couldn't even take a picture. The only thing that is passable is the submarine. In general the visit is not worth the ticket price.

Far more interesting than I expected, but you definitely need to do the guided tour, as this takes you around the backlot sets.. inc HBO/BBC Rome series and several others. Very cool if you like this stuff. The museum/history of Italian cinema was really interesting too.
They have a pretty good cafe and decent/ clean loos at the end!

The guide also visits the Studios with many limitations. It is not clear why no more agreements are made to leave (perhaps moving them to other areas) the sets of the most famous films or series.

I went to see Tarantino at the theater 5. I was perplexed by the ridiculous dilapidation of the complex and the little desire to work at the ticket office operators, a bit superficial in courtesy and attention to the customer, the others being very basic. You cannot visit without paying and without a guide, medium-high prices.

If you are a huge fan of italian classics or Hollywood productions, this is the place to go in Rome. Lots of memorabilia and information about the productions. best part is to take the tour on the open air sets of productions like ROME of HBO or the Borgias. you may even see some actresses and actors around working close to studio 5. The guides are not very joyfull but have enough information. a must for cinephiles

A journey inside the movie sets. A path between the various studios of which only one is shown inside. A magical experience for film lovers and especially for those who study scenography.

Beautiful place, it's really a dream box it was great to see all those settings, places trampled by sacred monsters and although certainly of less importance But it was also fun to trample the garden of the Martini Family of A medical doctor in the family I highly recommend visiting

Great

My experience in this place

My experience in this place
is that I have been working on it for over 30 years
first as a post production manager and color technician
I have curated many Italian and American films as a color technician.
That's why you see it every morning

I am fond of it, since I was a child I have been there every so often and the last time in the evening, on the occasion of the white night, I once again appreciated the soundtracks, scenarios and pavilions that speak of the classics of the history of Italian cinema.

This was a very fun visit for a cinephile. You tour yourself around the museum areas which are interesting and well put together, and then you can take a guided tour of the movie sets, and those are really fabulous. A highlight was a giant head (from one of Federico Fellini's films) set in the middle of the front lawn. The premises date back to the fascist era.

the ticket costs 15. too much for what it offers. in fact there were few visitors no more than twenty. you can visit the tribute to troisi and the tribute to the great federico fellini. nice also the submarine where U571 was shot. The ticket includes a guided tour guide with very prepared, which presents theaters and outdoor spaces. in reality the latter rather resigned. in conclusion ... I won't be back.

This was a great place to visit. (October 2018), and weirdly enough one of the highlights of my trip to Rome, but then I have a lot of interest in film history. Far SE part of Rome but very easy to get there. It is right at a subway stop. If you are on a tour, you should arrive early...the tours end early afternoon. NIce shop there too, incl., a very interesting collection of cinema history books which I"ve found hard to find elsewhere. You'll get more out of the visit if you read various website articles about Cinecitta before you visit. And/or check out the Shawn Levy book La Dolce Vita before you go.

The museum is a journey into the memory of great cinema. The tour with the guide includes a visit to the external settings and a visit to a completely empty studio to give the idea of the container that, according to the needs, can become a set for a film or the seat of a TV program

Cute sets still standing and open to visitors and the attempt to make them into a kind of museum. The feeling of being in a place where once the history of cinema was made, but which today and mostly abandoned leaves a bit of sadness on them.

Film city in the south of Rome. Easy to reach, because there is a metro station right in front of the entrance. As a visitor you can see a big exhibition about the film industry in general and also participate in guided tours. The guides are in Italian and English and they lead in halls and movie sets. One comes for example past a reconstructed Roman Forum. The tour is very interesting throughout, even if you do not know the films shot here. There is also a small park and a restaurant. Once you've had enough of all the historical places in the center, this is definitely a good change.

Cinematic sets of the city of Rome, the smallest museum in the history of studies, guided tour in which the most famous sets are explained and some information regarding the construction of the scenographies, is however an important part of the Italian history of 1900, from the tourist point of view could be renewed

The place where cinema and television met Italy. You can visit it, preferably with a guide. Curiosity and uniqueness are not lacking. Recommended for everyone regardless of age.

Very disappointed of the New Year's Eve party !! Little variety of food, queues for everything, they charged us 10 euro per person wardrobe. The open bar thing was a hoax - there were 3 waiters at the bar for 600-700 people on the site. That is, when he opened the bar, a tremendous tail was made that never moved. In the end we paid for Barra Libre and we could have a single drink and we had to go because it was unbearable to make a drink for drinks! Bad but bad organization!

I participated in the event screening of the new Tarantino movie at Studio 5. Excellent view of the 70mm format, excellent sound.
Small faults in the narrow armchairs. For very tall people it is not very comfortable.

An informative visit not to be missed if you love the cinema. We discover the complexity behind the scenes with the filming studios (although they are not very large), but we also learn a lot about the history of Italian cinema (on Federico Fellini in particular). Note, however, that the guided tour is only available in English or Italian.

Excessive ticket price, 15 euros, which includes a tour where you can visit the various "studios" only from the outside (they look like the abandoned warehouses of Fiat at Lingotto and Mirafiori). Very messy, with materials thrown here and there and that certainly don't have a good aesthetic impact. Interesting and well done the part related to small museums, but not such as to justify a price, in my humble opinion, so high.

The Factory of Dreams that everyone should visit at all ages, where everything that the creative mind of authors and poets is capable of conceiving materializes. A cultural, historical and architectural dip of the recent past of our country. A spacious park welcomes visitors who, before or after the visit, can taste a coffee in the shade of the maritime pines typical of the Lazio vegetation. Fantastic experience.

There is no guide in French at noon as indicated on the site because it is the reservation that must be booked for 15 people minimum
Otherwise the decors nice but no studio to visit and the museum at the end of the visit is nice. Disappointed
