Cimmarron Golf Resort Review

Very nice accommodations at Raintree Resort. Bigger than expected. Nice pool and grounds. Staff were courteous and welcoming. Maintenence staff very friendly and helpful. Very pleased. Great vacation stay.

Place is ok, but worst place ever due to lack of common sense with the staffing. They forgot to close the doors TWICE while we were out. Our stuff could have been stolen and they indicated that they were not responsible for any missing items. Common sense says close the doors after doing the housekeeping!

Excellent lawn conditions. Excellent restaurant services. Course desgn is easy for most.

Wonderful views. Drive your balls into the mountain. Good clubhouse with excellent menu. Well maintained greens.

Amazing golf course. $25 after 2pm. Great deal. I managed to get through 15 holes before dark.

Nice golf course, just golfed the pebble course. Course in good shape. Workers are friendly.

One of the better values in the valley. Use a discount web site to make it even better. Links golf and don't pay attention to the nay sayers who complain about the sand washes. Free drop, but you have to actually read the course rules on the score card to know that.

Absolutely loved the experience, Katie the GM operates a class - 5 star venue. Course was in great condition, outside staff right on the spot, marshals helpful and friendly, food was perfect. As a past golf course owner I was trying to find anything to complain about and I finally gave up. BTW over-seeding incredible, a must play...

The staff is great. The course is is in fantastic shape. It gets a little crowded sometimes. I highly recommend it.

This place is okay but older and slightly dated. Not much for the kids to do other than get in the pool. They don't accept pets, which is a problem for us with an additional expense for boarding.

Otherwise, the place is quiet but being in Cathedral City there is always a drive into town to go to any of the more upscale restaurants in Rancho Mirage or Palm Springs. There isn't a lot within walking distance of here.

Didn't interact much with the staff. They weren't really around except in the morning.

This course is AWFUL !!! My husband and I were out in the Palm Desert area recently and we are golfers, not good but we enjoy the game.
Cimarron had be suggested to us. The day we played was quite warm, 98. There isn't a tree on this entire course, nor is there any man made shelter from the sun. If one needed to use a bathroom, what is provided are "port-a-potties". Did I say it was 98 hot degrees out. Think what kind of smells would greet a would be user in these "potties" :( The course in general is not in good shape. The signage to direct you to he hole is terrible. It is not worth the money, by they way it is over priced!
Avoid this course.

It was a nice resort course. The pace of play was great, 3 1/2 hours. The fairways were in great condition and the greens were okay.

Incredible golf course and crew running it. You'll finish your golf round challenged, yet satisfied.

Smashing view, but barely adequate food. Worth a small bite to hang outside.

We are not fabulous golfer's...but we do love Cimarron. Both courses are great.

It's a beautiful setting and view. But the bar and waiter staff were totally oblivious to customer service. The bar women served me water in a broken rim razor sharp glass. Totally inattentive to customer safety. I had to point it out to her twice before receiving a sliver of acknowledgment. And, the Bloody Mary was lousy. Too bad.

We must have hit on a bad day because pace was TERRIBLE; we were at 3 hours at the ninth hole- no marshals. At the 11 hole the group behind us gave up and on the next hole another group behind us drove by having given up. We gave up after the 13th hole. Course is in good shape but unless you enjoy waiting 20 minutes per hole on par 3 course suggest the Indio par 3 that is lighted. We played on Sunday afternoon but was told it would be a 3-3 1/2 hour round which it was not.

Love it here, stayed in 1 bedroom, which has a full kitchen & garage! Onsite pool, hot tub, & a free wash laundry room! Very spacious room with Fold out bed for extra guests, Beautiful views from balcony! Studio is quite small and mini kitchen so I prefer the 1 bedroom.

Great views! Can't wait until it opens again due to the wash

Just finish playing this course 4/29. Beautiful course, nice people, would recommend for anyone to play. Difficulty not too high good for all handicaps

Great time golfing but Cimarrons states at Boulder course is a JERK!!!!. We were a threesome and he tried to put one of us in another threesome?

Good value and the course is in excellent shape. The course is in the windy area of the valley and can be challenging in the strong winds That are normal. Without wind it would be a 5+ rating.

Was totally pleased, when we got rained out after 4 hole and the mgr was giving out rain checks to our group...problem was 2 of us were from michigan and a rain check was no good for us he politely refunded our $$$. Now that's first class!

I played the little par 3 Pebble course many times while visiting Palm Springs. It's a great little course and one of the few walkable ones in the region. The scenery is wonderful, like all courses in Palm Springs, with mountain views and coyotes roaming. And for a par 3 course, it offers plenty of good holes for practicing your irons as well as a couple long enough for the driver. Greens are very fast and tricky with lots of subtle breaks. Pars here are well earned!

Staff was always friendly and the price is right!

Play 9 holes the Browns were good the holes was challenging I enjoy myself

I was gifted a round of golf here, full 18 for 2. I was very excited to come back home (Indio, CA) and play golf. I was aware that one course was under construction but I've never been to a poorly managed course. There was ONE sign that said "Boulder hole 9 ->".... it took me 20 mins to find hole Boulder hole 10. On top of that there was a group of 6 homeless people by whole 16. There is plenty more to talk about but I just hope this helps. I hope I get an opportunity to play here again with a different experience.

no restrooms or access to water except when lady in golf cary decides to roll by and gardners are very rude

Great experience one a excellent executive course with wonderful views. The course was in great shape from box to green with challenging holes through out. Definitely be back.

I just returned from a month of golf at Cimarron. I love the staff at the resort, they are friendly and fun and made the experience great. The course is in great shape as well except for the sand starved bunkers. All in all a great month. Thanks to you all.

Great executive course.
The course forces you to bring your A-game for tough tee, chip and putting. Oh, gorgeous views and great cafe/bar!!

Great value. Conditions iffy in summer and shoulder season but the price reflects this so it's OK.

Beautiful pair of courses. Playable and forgiving with free relief from the big wash that goes through the middle of the course.

We went over labour weekend and the pool was not opened. Wish they had let us know before hand
