Receiving a Tax Investigation letter from HMRC was one of the worst and most stressful experiences I had in my life. I started to google about tax investigations and to read about how sour things can turn. So after some sleepless nights, the decision was obvious. I could not ignore this problem, I had to face it and get it sorted out. I am very glad to have taken this decision and to have hired Churchill to take care of my case. Churchill is very professional, their work is very thorough and they wont cut any corners. After seeing all the work they have done I was much more confident that things would turn out ok. We were able to reduce the initial penalty by a significant amount and we reached a settlement with HMRC after about 10 months. If you are in the situation I described, my advice would be to not hide from the problem. Please look into it and get it resolved. If you have already taken this decision then I can highly recommend Churchill, because they will do a proper work and will be fully prepared to defend your case to HMRC.

We visited Churchill Tax Advisors because we were selling a property and wanted our tax return to pay the capital gains tax to be presented correctly. Unfamiliar with the process we thought there may even be an improvement to the property or something that we could offset against the bill.

Before our visit we had seen two accountants, they just confirmed the amount/percentages to pay that we had found ourselves from the internet.

Well, it was beyond our wildest dreams ... our tax bill is now ZERO!!

I approached Churchill Tax having being let down by several advisers and I was under serious investigation by HMRC with a significant tax bill. Churchill Tax studied my case and were able to use their experience and knowledge to settle the case in a short period of time. The tax bill was reduced 10 times the original amount. I am very grateful to the team at Churchill Tax and highly recommend them.

Don't trust all their fake reviews, they maybe ok for basic accountancy work but if you have a complex tax investigation their useless cowboys, extremely unprofessional and make constant mistakes and have the audacity to give you a crazy fake bill of fake hours they worked on your account, they saved me no money instead i've had to pay their bill on top of my tax bill, their work is so amateur it's shocking, don't trust the reviews written by others trust me when i say if you want a tax investigation accountant STAY AWAY FROM them!

Dont believe the fake positive reviews, worst firm in the area. They will be very nice and do meeting with the owner and say all right things and take your money then refuse to do any work and main person wont take calls. They took advantage of my situation, took fees promised things and didnt do it. Very bad person.

My experience is working with the Ilford branch and the Head of Compliance there, to help me through a tax investigation for some undeclared property income.
Imad was amazingly patient ( with my high anxiety levels!), professional and highly competent in his field. He guided me through the process and reassured me throughout - as these things can take a long time and I was getting increasingly worried.
Imad managed to get the best possible outcome for me under the circumstances, and made the whole process as stress free as it can be. Everything valuable comes at a cost, of course. But I would do exactly the same again as it has saved me money and stress , and I would highly recommend Imad and Jamal ( Ilford team) and their services to anyone that has to deal with their tax affairs and HRMC. Don't delay.....it is not worth it!! Happy customer. All in order now and compliant to the law and sorted, I now I know what to do and I am no longer loosing sleep over it. Five stars.

Jamal provided good tax planning advice, professional and courteous.

I knocked off one star as there was a few loose ends regarding tax planning that I had to chase up myself.

However, don't let this distract you from using Jamal's services - I believe you won't be disappointed.

I engaged Churchills as HMRC were not happy with the response from my accountant. Although on lock down and working remotely, they provided expert help and advise and got the case resolved. Their service comes at a cost like all expert advice but much less daunting and costly than trying to deal with HMRC yourself.
