So much fun and we as in San Jose in Guinness Book of World Records.
Christmas trees in Guinness
Nice decorations. The drive through lights were great
Visited the site after quite a few years. Not much change. But it fun to watch and go around in rides. Great place to spend a weekend for families.
It was absolutely stunning well worth the 30 min wait in line my 6 year old loved it and we like the added touch the Christmas radio station
Loved seeing the old displays from the 80's even if not as spry as they once were. Kids loved the rides and the churros were amazing...as always.
Christmas in the Park is grown in popularity over the years. Great family event for kids. Hard to navigate with a stroller.
Other than loads of xmas trees. .nothing exciting to see...but good hangout for kids.. the parking costs more than stroll in the park. ..
Hot Chocolate loaded with cream, mash mellow, sprinkles, cherry is definitely MUST have in cold winter
Fun place to check out to get in the holiday spirit. So many Christmas trees decorated by various community groups. Some carnival rides and games. Hot chocolate stalls and ice skating nearby. Worth a visit with the family.
Crazy busy ! But if you can handle the crowds it's worth a visit
Lots of lights and nostalgic decorations. Kid friendly.
Wow! Very impressed with this event once we got inside (more to come in the line). The event was everything you would normally see and then some. The light show synced to music in your car was nothing but impressive. This was a whole new experience. Turn after turn you found some old and new experiences including a live nutcracker scene and even Santa! The drive experience took us about 45 min once in and worth every moment.
Now the bad new, the line. We went on a a Friday night, arrived 20 minutes ahead of time with our tickets set for 6:45pm. Once we arrived, we learned there was only one way in, one line to get in and opposite of the way we were going. It stretched back to the highway, about a mile. Expect 30-60 min before you even get in. This was crazy to me and having two young kids became a challenge to manage the "when are we there" questions. Recommend bringing snacks, entertainment (coloring or screens) and a portable potty for any young ones as there is no place to go and your not allowed out of the car. Not sure how you can avoid this line, perhaps go during the week and close to sun down.
Love making a day trip out here when the trees are up. It's nice to just walk through and see the decorations for and some of the bigger displays. There's also an ice skating rink and several carnival rides for kids to do as well. Vendors selling snacks/hot chocolate are also available. There are several porta potties around and one central outdoor bathroom in the park, but there is usually a wait for that one lol
Really good music, hot chocolate, street hot dogs, and out of the blue decorations. The Christmas tree lights were amazing!
Was a lovely place for an evening walk and had a great vibe!
Quite nice for a downtown. Tries to get the holiday mood as much as possible. Food is meh.. rides are average but the decorations are genuine and nice.
Great family fun! Bring cash though! No cards accepted and ATM'S have a large fee
A lot of Christmas trees, games, and hot chocolate.
So... I throughly enjoyed myself. There are cute decorated trees for all kinds of causes, groups, and remembering family members. Also the historical aspect of this event is pretty dang cool! There's cute vendors, with waffles- snowman hot chocolate- kettle corn- hot dogs- and candy. There's pictures with Santa. You can do sleigh photos, and be Santa.. the options are endless. It's great for kids, wonderful date spot. Certainly all around family friendly.
Great place. Awesome rides for the kids. Festive environment. Could be too crowded at times.
A holiday tradition for many years. Love the walk and seeing the trees. Best way to get into the spirit
Not as clean as it's been before but expect a great family or date visit here. Always get the hot chocolate near the Ice Rink!
The same exhibits from when I was a child, except re-imagined for the new generation. It was fun to walk around and point out which animatronics used to be what back in the 90s.
Gets super crowded around 6pm, so plan accordingly. The Snowman hot chocolate is almost worth the $7 for a large, however the apple cider was pretty week. The funnel cake is good, just need to wait for it.
All in all, the same it's always been... Just different. Give it a go at least once.
Really excellent, and surprisingly worth the very long line to get in.
Nice little park to walk around with family and friends. There are also a carousel, Ferris wheel, ice rink. Plenty of street vendors to buy churros, kettle corn, hot chocolate, and hot dogs. There a Christmas trees, various decorations, and nativity scenes throughout the Park to take pictures.
Nice Christmas Village. Went too early to get the full experience.
This is a magical place!! We were all adults and we loved it!!
What a wonderful place for family outing during Christmas season!
Cute little park decorated well for Christmas. Lots of Christmas trees are put by schools, near by companies and organizations. Food stalls are available - hot dogs, fries, kettle corn, hot chocolate, etc. There are few games for kids and adults including ferris wheel. Ice skating is also there for almost 2 months. Over all it's a fun place to hang out with family. Decor is beautiful and lit every where.
There was a lot to see! Spent a lot of time viewing all the themed tress.
Lots of trees the sponsors didn't bother to decorate, kind of disappointed.
A great place to bring family around Christmas. Tons of trees and lights to see. There are also vendors. There are lots for parking that you can pay to park in. Otherwise street parking is also an option and is slightly cheaper.
It's so beautiful there. A must do Christmas tradition.
Very good experience. All the workers were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our day there.
Always a family must do tradition. We visited weekend after Thanksgiving and enjoyed the park with grandkids. Crowd was light and weather was pleasant.
One of the best hot chocolates out there. The old animatronics are priceless. The memorial trees are a powerful reminder of the march of time.
Good one time drive through experience although we felt there could have been more attractions. But considering you stay in the car it s worth the price.
Overwhelmingly overcrowded so if you have strollers be aware that it'll be a harder time to get around. But it's a fun time for kids and couples.
They have a few rides at $3.50 each. $20 for unlimited. The large ferris wheel and roller coaster are good rides.
I came early morning around 1230pm and the carnies arent at their stations so most rides were't open. Went to this ride and this lazy carnie sitting comfortably under his umbrella said my daugter is 1 inch too short. I was 80 feet away. He doesnt get paid per rider. Carnies would also smoke in front of kids.
A San Jose tradition ....come ride the rides enjoy the foods ...see and be part of the San Jose festivity s
It is evident with the 3+ hour delay that the event was over-sold causing traffic backlogs past Tully Road. We attempted to arrive an hour early (6pm for our scheduled 7pm time slot); expecting traffic and yet the streets were so clogged, blocking intersections and causing unsafe conditions, it would have taken us hours (past 9pm) to even arrive close to the event. Complete waste of time and money.
Christmas in the park is one of the best places to take your kids. They got different things to look at they even got ice scating and games for kids. They also got food stands where you can buy coffee, hot chocolate, cider, hot dogs. The parking is not free. Parking cost are about $10 to $20. Sometimes there are a lot of people and it's better to go when it's less busy.
for those who complain...it s $10 and what else were you gonna do for christmas???
Nice as usual. Seemed like there were less displays and more trees this year.
The show must go on, and it did this year at History Park. Besides the somewhat long lines to get in and no snowman hot chocolate, this version did the trick. Worth a visit during this strange COVID Christmas season.
Wonderful place. Easy access from all kind of transport like Train/Bus/Car/Bike/Walk. Had fun with family during Christmas & heard also good during summer as well.

So calm it's a good place to go and relax and have time to. Just be in your own space and enjoy the beautiful day.
Christmas season is over now it's time to celebrate the NHL ALLSTAR GAMES the whole week!!
Local annual San Jose Christmas affair! Great for kids.
Lots to do and see here. The ice skating rink is my favorite. We rode the ferris wheel, which was a nice view of the city.
A holliday must!!! And don't forget the snowman hot chocolate and a snack. SO GOOD!!!
Nice place to take the family at night walk around view all the trees and ornaments the kids can enjoy the rides it's beautiful at night
Churros are the best in town, and the hot dog carts are delicious; fun place for kids. Downside is parking, really hard to find a spot!!
