Fantastic Eastern European Food! Reminds me of my Mom's home cooking. A great gem hidden in Ferndale! Always will fed at Christine's.

Very neat and convenient spot. They serve big meals and for economical rates. We enjoyed the food very much and the waiters were super friendly and explanatory. Recommended.
Delicious food. 100% recommend. Friendly nice staff. Thank you.
Seemed like we picked a bad time, everything was out, service was slow and food was subpar when finally served.
The staff is very friendly, casual, and the food is delicious. The sandwiches are delicious, quality is great. They even have some of their Ukrainian roots showing. They sell parties too, and damn they are good. If you want a cozy place to eat, come here!
Great eastern European food- think kraut, sausage and potato. Very quick and extremely tasty, while being very reasonably priced.
We almost had the place to ourselves. It can get quite busy there, and I will always recommend the specials. The Steak Diane was very good.
Delicious comfort food!
Everything is always so fresh and delicious. Always wonderful.
Incredible homemade soups... variety of choices! Yum!
When my taste buds want beef stroganoff, this is my place. It's only on the dinner menu however.
Food is always fresh and delicious. Service is always friendly. The bomb burrito is a must try!!
The food was excellent and the staff is amazingly friendly. Such a hidden gem. Super clean and awesome decor. Will make it a regular stop.
Very good food. Fast service. Would love to go back to try some other dishes. And the bathroom is so darn cute!
The food is "THE BOMB"!!! I would love to see a bit more diversity but it is truly a best kept secret! Friendly service and a creative and authentic menu makes this place a true gem. I live in Detroit; the travel is worth it.
I love going here! Breakfast lunch dinner you name it! Quesadillas, homemade soups, the best hamburgers, and I mean the best! Nice staff. I think it s a Ferndale secret. They are also on Groupon with a nice discount coupon.
The food is excellent, ever changing specials and solid regulars. Havent tried the Polish, that will be my next visit!
Eclectic meal choices for everyone at the table. lose dishes to Romainian except no mamaliga. The BOMB is the bomb... the dipping sauce... The people!
Terrible... Food is bland... Service is terrible... I do not recommend
their burrito is tha bomb yo! maybe thats why they call it the bomb burrito? i unno.
The best homemade meal, freshest ingredients. Truly godd and good for you foods
This place is our favorite place to eat in Ferndale, hands down. The service is always very warm, friendly, and prompt. The food is fantastic, no matter what you order. The specials range anywhere from Eastern European to Korean dishes, and they are always on point despite the large range in styles. Couldn't recommend this place more.
Good food, great service, easy in & out location, carry out available. What's not to like?
This is my go to place for breakfast and comfort food when I'm sick. The perogies are a must try.
I love the food here. I just wish they had better ventilation. I always leave smelling like the grill no matter where I sit in the restaurant.
Fantastic food and lovely staff!!! Would definitely come back
Really great food with great variety and good service.
Great menu, good food! They have a regular menu and a weekly special menu. The quality of the service has gone downhill significantly. Waitresses with bad attitudes.
The spicy bomb burrito is so delicious and inexpensive that ordering it gives me this strange sort of guilt, like I've just stolen from them. My boyfriend and I go here for lazy weekend breakfasts and I can't remember ever having a long wait.
Very good food and awesome staff. The food was fresh and tasty. Will definitely be coming back.
Some of the best food in Ferndale and great people to !
Love love love this place! They are pierogies are so good. I'm also a big fan of their brunches and their big bomb burritos.
More like a cafe, a little cramped. The Borscht soup was the best that Ive had. Tuscan Chicken could have had more sauce, as it is served over rice. The Perogies were good. The bread was served at the end of my meal and it was hard. We had to ask for refills of water. They didnt offer stuffed cabbage. It is properly classified as a European restaurant. No alcohol served. My boyfriend loved his chicken sandwich. Overall, our experience was a good one.
Lived down the street for the past year, and kept hearing great things. Came in today and I had THE BEST omelette I've ever had in my LIFE. Next time I'm hear it's going to be hard to order something. Loved that smoked turkey omelette. My wife also absolutely refused to share her burger, and I think that's a good sign!
Never disappointed here. Delicious, inexpensive and filling meals in a cozy, informal setting.
Such a cozy, quaint place with really excellent homemade food. Their Eastern European food is amazing. You can't go wrong with the combo platter or potato pancakes. The sandwiches, wraps and salads that I've tried were very good as well. You can tell all of the ingredients are extremely fresh. I've only been for lunch. Really need to get it together and get the SO over here for dinner one night.
Great potato soup, pierogi and service. I picked this place based on the great Yelp reviews and unfortunately, I did not necessarily agree. We ordered the pierogi appetizer special with bacon, caramelized onions and roasted garlic. We thought they were very good and like the different flavor the roasted garlic brought to the dish. We also had the potato dill soup which was very good. My boyfriend ordered the piedmontese burger and it was only okay. I had the Athena salad which is a cross between a Fatoosh and a Greek salad. The dressing did not have much flavor and was oily and salty.
While we were not that impressed with the food, the service was fast and friendly.
This place is really cool. A surprising menu, amazing food, and great staff.
Excellent food and great service. This is a little further than we typically go, but we were in the area today and wanted to give it a try. So glad we did! We will be sure to stop here when we are in the area again!
Good, interesting, reasonably-priced food cooked "comfort style." Pasta, pierogis, piedmont burgers, burritos -- it's all good, but sometimes over-salted for my taste. One reason I keep going back is B.Y.O. wine with no corking fee. I wish they'd pay a little more attention to the air quality and do something about the fruit flies.
Me and my friend Lola always go there for lunch and we love there food....always happy when we go there they are so sweet and have the best food....
I never write reviews but I wanted to say that we had the best experience ever at Christine' Cuisine!!! We were a big group of over 20 people and the staff totally accommodated us no problem. They made a beautiful long table to fit all of us and could not have been more lovely. We so appreciated the BYOB policy and their staff was warm, friendly, and so attentive. The food came out promptly and perfectly even for our massive group! They also let us check out separately at the counter, making it even easier. The food was amazing, the staff was incredible and patient, the restaurant is adorable and we could not have been happier! Already planning to go for our next big trip out to Detroit. Enjoy, all!
Consistently good food across a diverse menu - buritos and pierogies, to pasta dishes and deli sandwiches. Simple fare with big taste.
I've been hearing good things about Christine's Cuisine for a while now, and finally decided to try it a few weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised. We came here for breakfast and it was quaint, but still had an interesting menu. The food was great, some of the best banana pancakes I've ever had. A simple dish but they really nailed it. We also experienced great service and it wasn't overly crowded, which is a plus because in the Ferndale/Detroit area, a lot of breakfast places on the weekends tend to be long waits.
Excellent and very affordable food. The perogies were amazing!
love christines, the food is awesome my favorite is the chicken pesto. been going since they opened and it just has a nice family feel
This spot is worth trying. They serve big portions for reasonable rates. Consistently neat and with good atmosphere. Will visit here again.
Awesome food, good music, and friendly staff. It's a great little restaurant. Definetly try the perogies!
Best perogies I've ever had. And the BOMB burrito was the bomb! Feeds two for $5 you can't possibly find a better bang for your buck. buck. Thanks to
They are very friendly here, food has always been great!
Good kids menu that the kids can color with familiar as well as unique choices.
Always a great experience. Had a special dish, chicken paprikash. It was excellent with a hearty portion. I recommend this place to everyone.
I've been going to Christine's for about 20 years and never had a bad meal, last night was no exception.
we are real foodies and have eaten here frequently for years. ...food and service great...can't beat the prices and it's great home cooking...we've eaten practically everything on the menu...you cant go wrong!!
Piergoies are light as a feather and delicious deep fried. Baked sauerkraut is like regular sauerkraut and very good. Sorrel soup also good. But where's the borscht? Would eat here again.
ty good. I didnt see any spicy garlic sauce options though
I always arrive grabbing some food in here. I enjoyed the rapid customer service and well prepared food. 5 stars from me.
I love the German influence. Their breakfast Schnitzel is great! And they have BIG mugs for coffee, all of them different. There are quite a few options on their menu, as well as a few specials that change periodically. But don't worry, if you're in the mood for eggs and bacon, they've still got you covered.
The bathroom is absolutely mesmerizing! The tile work is the last thing you'd expect to see while sitting in the dinning room. It is, hands down, the most interesting bathroom in Ferndale.
The space is a little cramped, but still comfortable. And the parking lot could use a little fixin, but its a strip mall, so that would take some doing. There are usually plenty of spaces to park early on a weekend, but you might end up waiting for a table.
It does get a little smokey at times, but it doesn't bother me. My wife, on the other hand, would prefer a little more ventilation.
All things considered, 4 out of 5 stars, would eat again.
Amazing food. If you are ever here it's a must try!
Today was our first visit here, and while my sandwich didn't overwhelm me, the pierogies were awesome. I highly regret just not getting a big plate of pierogies, but I guess there's always another day to visit and do that. The service was excellent and the place had a pretty steady stream of customers.
Great food, great staff and the owner made sure to visit and thank every table
Nice hidden gem. Interesting decor, the service was friendly and prompt. The food was great.
Great service, good food, decent prices...what more could you ask for?!!
Amazing food. If you re looking for somthing unique and delicious, Christine s is the place to go!
Friendly staff, fantastic food. I don't write a lot of reviews for restaurants, but this place deserves it.
Waitress were friendly and helpful however the food didn't live up to expectations. My burrito was ICE COLD, my tortilla wasn't warm and neither was the contents inside of it. The grilled chicken sandwich we ordered was hot but lacked flavor and wasn't anything special. The perogies which appeared to be fried were good. Overall a VERY underwhelming meal based on all of the hooplah this place receives.
Love this place! Delicious food, great service and excellent price.
Love the perogi here. Only downside is when the tables fill up.
Man were they crowded! There was still room for us which was cool! Food is always good here! Will be back soon!
I love Christine s! On of the best salads and the best pierogi I ever had.
We were visiting Detroit, and Christine's turned up as a highly recommended place that happened to be nearby when we were hungry. Thank you to the Local Guides and others that led us here.
The only issue I encountered was having too much of a good thing - I ordered a St. Patty's omelette, and the server asked me if I wanted everything with it. I should have asked for details, because the omelette not only came with an terrific side of their potato hash, but also had a substantial amount of potato as part of the corned beef hash inside.
The highlight at our table was my wife's side order of 3 pierogies (which she was kind enough to share). They came with carmelized onions, which were the perfect addition (along with sour cream, of course). Christine's was a wonderful place for a quick meal with friendly service.
