Went to Choices today (December 14, 2018) for organic molasses, they had two bottles left on the shelf, one bottle had been expired for almost a year ago(January 2018), the other bottle was expiring next month January 2019. I spoke to the shift supervisor, Bryan, and asked him to discount the molasses as I needed it today, he adamantly stated that "he would not discount something that has such a long time until the expiration date" - one month until the molasses expires is an extremely short time to expect someone buy and use a whole bottle of molasses in. Especially when molasses is something that is only used a couple tablespoons at a time. The whole reason why the term "slow as molasses" started is because molasses is a slow and isn't used often. I would not buy from a store that has such old/expired products on their shelves.

Choices is preferred grocer these days and I can walk to this one. I've gotten to know many of the employees so I feel I get personalized service. The quality of everything they sell is very high. Produce. Protein. Dairy. Dry goods. All excellent. Highly recommended.

A good selection of specialty foods. I wouldn't shop here for the majority of my food as the regular groceries can be found cheaper elsewhere. This is a very convenient location however, great for picking up a missing grocery item.

Good grocery store where you can find your favourites and interesting new items. They offer some bulk items. The produce section has lots to offer. some items are offered in conventional and organic. Although relatively small, but their seafood section is pretty good. Lots of oceanwise options.

The level of freshness found in the products at this establishment is despicable. I went in looking to buy a simple carton of milk. The only option they had for the variety I was looking for expired the very next day! This neighborhood deserves a better run grocery store. I

I went to Choices to buy cheese today. Luckily I thought to check the expiration date, which was over a month old! All the other cheeses of the same variety and size had the same date. I'm not sure how a properly run grocery store could be so negligent as to stock dairy products that expired over a month ago. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

This store is okay, but the selection is limited. My major problem is the homeless person who sets up outside the store. He has accosted my wife in the past and just yesterday I witnessed him, without a mask, getting right in the face of several people as they exited the store, demanding money. I opted not to go in as I won t put myself in that situation. This is a constant problem at this store and I ve decided I ll just start going somewhere else. The store seems to be supporting his presence by allowing to him take products for free from their food bar, again, without requiring him to wear a mask.

A fair selection, but not extensive. Need some baby food and very limited in that aspect. Prices are typical organic produce prices, quality of veggies were varied some Good some poor, green beans I bought were pre packaged by the store and half were damaged and not edible after opening it at home.

My neighbourhood grocer! I like that this Choices did some renovations and updated. It was quite cramped. Now it s more spacious. I like the fresh meals and salad bar. The bread and cheese selection is great. I like that it s a small grocery store, not a huge one that takes forever to go from one end to the other. My go-to place in my hood.

One stop shopping for my vitamins and groceries yet such a neighborhood feel. Staff are friendly and very helpful, covid safety protocols are in place. I always choose to shop here over the giant supermarkets.

Great little neighborhood grocer. Healthy choices and their health section is simply amazing. You have an ailment? They can recommend natural remedies. I always love the choice of paper bags too. It's small but has everything you need...

Store management shows disrespect to loyal customers by brushing off concerns about safety and hygiene in the store. A confused and likely homeless man entered the store without a mask on, serving himself at the soup station with no regard for distancing nor sanitary hygiene. When flagged to a supervisor on the January 22, 2021 4:15pm shift, he curtly disconnected me (I was honestly not being rude at all, just suggesting that security or staff should have intervened to at least assist or redirect). Even tried calling back in case it was an accident, but was left hanging, so I guess he hung up on me. Not sure if I feel safe (or respected) shopping there anymore.

Excellent customer service. Great selections. My nephew allergic to gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy, beans and peas makes it hard to shop but I can always find something here. Rob from the meat department and Laura was so kind on a last minute they whip up a custom order meat ball for me so that we can make spaghetti that night. We were so amazed they go beyond the call of duty as they read up all the ingredients with existing products and when they don't have anything available they offer to make something for me and I bought a bottle of the marinate they used that is alternate to soy, GF, nut free seasoning. Way to go customer service like this hard to find.

Choices is one of the best places to get your groceries. They have tons of vegan and organic options and I highly recommend visiting them. Some of the items are priced higher but it is worth paying considering most of the items are organic

great and thoughtful selection but prices are a little high - wish Amazon who owns them would start to make their pricing a lot more competitive - not a fan of going broke just to get better quality ingredients

The best store ever! We've been shopping there weekly for 20 years, and it really is the best. I have always had the best service and products, and the staff go above and beyond as well. Most recently, a staff member in the wellness / supplement area named Isabelle really helped me out in a big way. Can't say enough about this location. I love so much that they are BC owned and operated as well.

First off I'll confess that I love that these guys are open until 11:00pm 7 days a week. Besides the excellent hours for a night owl like myself the place is clean and bright and everything is displayed nicely. They have their own brand of cheeses and dips which are good, fresh and reasonable in price for the most part. Some people assume that it is an expensive store being organic and such however like any consumer experience if you shop smart it's not so tough on the pocket book. The sales are good sometimes even great and the end of the aisle produce bags priced to fly out the door have kept our house in colourful, peak freshness produce goodness for years. Other stables range from average to above average in price comparison with other stores so you have to know what your regular purchases cost around town to know if your getting a deal or not so much... an example is my favorite yogurt there is more expensive than a few other places but then clotted cream much cheaper than the same stores that have my yogurt at lower cost.

I went to Choices today, having not been there for awhile. I live much closer to other stores that are also significantly cheaper. But, I must admit that Choices' merchandising makes a very positive impression upon me. I LIKE it when the produce looks so healthy, clean and ever so 'inviting.' At some other stores, everything is seemingly tossed into a bin, and it's just not appealing to me.

Of all the food markets in Vancouver I've shopped at Choice's market outclasses them all. Superior in customer service, food quality, food selection, vegan desserts! and an overall pleasant experience. I've been to all the locations and there is this consistency of great service and great food selection that no other food market has provided and its worth noting its a smaller store but still competes successfully against bigger chains with it's vast food selection. Thank You

I've found that the Cambie location (which is few blocks from me) is always sold out of basic items ... Not to mention things that are on 'Special' for the week is always gone. . I have been driving to the one on west 16th lately since they seem to always be on top of stocking that store... Bravo to the GM if that location for being proactive and making my shopping experience easy.

Choices does a great job of stocking a variety of interesting, high quality products. There's a lot of nice organic produce, and the meat section usually has a few nice game options. The selection of locally grown garlic varieties in the fall is ludicrous. Lots of interesting snacks and drinks. The staff are very nice, and the store is well maintained. Many items are significantly more expensive than other stores, though, so it's not the best place to do all of your shopping.

Great location. Great selection of products. The line-ups go fast, lots of cashiers on site. Location is generally clean, shelves well stocked. Staff are friendly as well. I am happy to shop at this location. Considering how small the store is, they are doing a great job at implementing social distancing measures. Keep it up

Poor management. They stock the shelves with food that has already gone off and charge a premium on everything including non-organic boxed goods because there's nowhere else you can go within a 1 km radius. At least the frontline staff is friendly.

Great variety of organic and vegan items. The price point can be high for speciality items; however, there are rotating sales that make these items more affordable. You just have to keep your eye out for them.

Good neighbourhood organic produce. Offering mix is weaker than other locations. But service is friendlier. Very poor Bakery and met options, but excellent health products and organic packaged foods.

Pretty penny that your going to have to spend to shop here. But it's ok I only ever go here when I need something last minute that I forgot to order from my grocery delivery. Staff are nice and they make sure the place isn't over packed due to covid cause some days it can get ridiculous cause everyone else shops at the same time aha. Maybe next time I'll try their prepared food.
