Took the family for a nature walk. We saw some wonderful wild life. You only need to be quiet.
Enjoyed the Chippewa River and the kayak take out structure
What an awesome outdoor experience! Take your young ones on the trails and enjoy.
Plenty of well-maintained trails of varied length, and historic period buildings. There's also a canoe launch on the river loop trail.
What is not to like about nature I took my grandkids there for an event that they had and we walked all over the place and I learned that if you call the main number a guy in a golf cart will come get you and take you to your car if you can't drag them grandkids any further that was a lifesaver and the coolest thing ever I also had a cow and a calf there that we fed apples too that the grandkids just loved
It's come a LONG WAY since the last time I was here for a 5th grade school field trip...in 1974 LOL
Nicely groomed trail.... well maintained. Very secluded. Beautiful nature shots (would be better w better camera!)
We didn't have a lot of time to spend the day we went...but was so impressed with what we saw will go back. Part of the building is all windows and stretches out over the water, the water is so clear you can see to the bottom. There is also a wildlife viewing area that I would just love to sit in all day and watch, especially since you can also hear the birds singing and the water babbling . There are many rooms for hands on teaching. Came home telling friends that they need to go, and take their families...I didn't even make it out on the trails because of inclement weather
It's just fun to be outdoors and be able to be there with my family and educate my kids on nature. Then they don't have their buried in electronics.
