This place is a confusing cluster. worst Chipotle ever

I used to go there a lot during 1993-94 period, and enjoyed their awesome burritos!

I expected a bigger place since is the 1st Chipotle! The service and specially the food still were off great quality!

The original Chipotle, a must see and eat in Colorado! And they have the best cilantro rice, and best guac compared to Qdoba and Illegal Petes.

The food is always good here. Space is tight at this location though. Hard to find a seat when it's busy. Staff could be friendlier.

Iconic location. Decent food but kinda slow. Very small location.

3 times in a row I've gone here and whoever folds the burrito has no idea what to do. I've gotten home after ordering online and it's coming out of the sides and just falls apart. This used to be the best burrito place, not anymore. Now, just go to Illegal Pete's a block down where there's more seating and they know how to fill your burrito.

Fast and amazing as always. Can always count on Chipotle.

Awesome to visit the very first Chipotle! Even though they're frequently busy, I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes. I also found that using the Chipotle app makes pickup super convenient!

The OG location where it all started. Really small but the burritos are just as you'd expect from any location. Nice staff. Funny that it's right next to a dispensary.

I enjoyed my overall experience at the original Chipotle location in Denver, CO. I have been going to Chipotle for over 10 years and it was interesting to visit where it was founded. The taste and service was consistent with the other Chipotle locations I have frequented in my day, which shows the strength of organization's values around food and the people they hire. The place was smaller than I expected, but that did not take away from my overall great experience.

You just can't beat Chipotle for a quick, filling, and delicious meal.

Fast good service. Our server was very excited to explain when I asked if it was THE first Chipotle. He showed us the Maximum Occupancy 17 sign.

The original Chipotle! Food tasted so good, I couldn't believe my meal had to come to an end.

I can't deny that I love this place. I worked for the company for over 6 years and I know what is in the food. I can always trust taking my family to any of their locations.
I am really judgemental when it comes to presentation. I just don't go back.

One burrito, one customer, one restaurant at a time... That use to be the PEPPER.
I will admit some locations steer away from this. But if you want great customer service... My top 2 locations are:

#1- Mississppi and Havana.. Love these guys ( and no I did not work here)
#2 Parker and Iliff...always with a smile

I live in Denver an will drive to Aurora just for these 2... Give or take 30 min drive with traffic.

Service was amazing and so was the food as usual. Just on the small side so I wouldn't recommend if you get claustrophobic.

Chipotle is my favorite chain restaurant. Going to the original location makes it even more fun.

I really want to give 5 stars, but I HATE dry, chewy, reheated chicken from the day before (I ate here at 11am). I had to pull several out because they were essentially jerky. I've been to several locations that do this unfortunately. I would have paid extra for freshly cooked chicken if possible!

Everything else was great. Tea was fantastic.

Of course, being the original, it's hard to top. The ordering style is a little different than other Chipotle locations, but the staff are just as quick at getting people their orders. No complaints, just great Chipotle food (plus bragging rights for going to the first Chipotle)!

I get the Steak burrito, it's always hot and fresh when I get it around noon.

My wife likes it but for me these kind of burritos are just too over the top for my taste.

I ve heard a podcast by Steve Ells the founder of chipotle and this place has been on my bucket list since this. Must say, It was a exciting experience at the first original chipotle. Simple interior design, great service and food

three years ago, this specific chipotle was the best in town. Today i went, and it was completely different. They had no guacamole, and the portions were really bad. Definetely not impressed.

The original restaurant is smaller than most but you can see why it caught on. Love Chipotle.

The original Chipotle! Maybe it's me, but the burritos always seem just a bit better here, at the location where it all began.

I haven't had a bad experience from here and I go frequently. The food is always fresh. The rice is never under or over cooked. The staff is so friendly and they really are a big part of why I go back to this specific location. This is my favorite Chipotle location.

The very first Chipotle ever. If you want to read a good backstory check out the Westword profile on the founder. He's actually trained in San Francisco to be a culinary chef, returned to Denver, was only going to do this for a little while but decided that he could do very high quality fast food. Love the vision.

The inside is very small but the food quality is identical to their other locations. The plaque outside makes for a good photo opportunity. I am glad I visited the first Chipotle ever! We called it our pilgrimage.

I had a carry-out order from this location. I was worried about the specialized order so I called them. The woman on the phone was extremely nice and wrote out on the order exactly what I needed. It was delicious!

76 degrees out today, Saturday, open the doors! So hot in there to eat the so-so food and not friendly service. Horrible parking situation. Not the best Chipotle location for any part of my visit.

Quick, easy ordering and food was the same as every other Chipotle, just the outside of the building looks different.

Fast and clean area. The only downside is it's a small area. You almost always have to park on the street since it's busy, and it has a very small parking lot.

Tiniest Chipotle I've ever seen. I think that there are 9 total seats and 4 of them are chairs that can be moved and replaced with a highchair or for a wheelchair. I wish this was noted on Google Maps so we could have chosen a place that had room for our family. The staff was nice and they made the food super fast.

Best Chipotle ever :) been a huge fan of Chipotle since I was a teenager, now that I've been able to visit Denver, I can say I'm impressed. Delicious ingredients, beautifully wrapped, and delightfully spicy. I'd give it 6/5 stars if I could.

My daughter was able to check this off of the list! Just wish it were a bit larger inside. I get why it isn't, we just wanted to spend more time there together.

the chicken is always tender, and the people working there are friendly and helpful even when there is a large rush!

This is Chipotle #1. I used to have an office across the street and in no time after they opened the line was out the door. The chips were better then but they're still good now.

Staff is great. It's a Chipotle, but a little smaller.

Well, although it is kind of a fast food place, nevertheless the food is always exceptionally fresh, delicious and the stuff is friendly and helpful

I asked the lady behind the counter to please give me unsauteed veggies and she told me No. I repeated my request and she still told me NO and would not budge. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

I used to eat at Chipotle on Evans when I was in College. It was the very first location and now they're all over the country. I'm proud to have been there from the beginning. They haven't changed at all from the original concept. It's virtually identical from the one they opened in 1997.

The original chipotle. I personally prefer illegal pete's.

Will not serve you if you don't have a mask, but other Chipoltes will?? I know most of you sheep agree with them, but this review is for intelligent people, not trendy cookie cutters. Discrimination at its finest.

It doesn't look like a normal Chipotle, but that's because it's the first one! Worth a go just for the novelty.

I give the ORIGINAL Chipotle Mexican Grill that is located at 1644 E Evans Ave, Denver, CO 80210 FIVE STARS. WOW! Two years later I return and thankfully its not under renovation. Haha a great busy staff and as most chipotle spots a great burrito. 5
