Always fun to bring friends here to snap a picture of the famed Beijing "underpants" building.

HQ of China Television the live, televised Gala to celebrate the Chinese New Year on 24th January is absolutely spectacular. It's compelling viewing even for foreigners like me who don't speak Chinese. The news programmes are very good covering what's happening & are very patriotic. Good weather coverage too.

When I first saw it, the building was formed as a letter, and it looked good. It is unusual ..

Tomorrow is the sixtieth anniversary of the China Central Television began broadcasting, it seems I have a few years of CCTV, and I think they are very hard. September 2, 1958, Beijing Television Station (CCTV predecessor's) launch, it has been 59 years continuous broadcast. December cgtn 31-day launch is a great initiative. I hope that next year September 2, CCTV must do better. Pay tribute to them.

The building of Chinese official television CCTV stands out with its interesting architecture. It is possible to see many buildings with modern architecture around the building located in Guomao, one of the modern regions of Beijing.

CCTV's new building is a very modern building, but CCTV's overall values and system are quite conservative.

Amazing structural building . but hard to get inside

Spectacular, incredible and a super modern building. To anyone who has time and likes to see this type of buildings I recommend you go to see this. It has a strange design and makes it peculiar, I love it and I recommend it. You can be observing it for a long time, and it does not look like it can be accessed.

Great building in the Chaoyang district! The design is very cool, and I like it! The building always towers over the apartment buildings of the area. Sadly though, you can't go up and view Beijing.

No matter how glorious the building and economy are, they wo n t go back

In fact, this building is good for SIGHTSEEING but not better then CCTV tower, it actually a office building so and it looks bad we call it "The Pants" in Chinese it is awful isn't it?
so if you want acutally see the whole(i can't make sure) beijing city, just go to CCTV tower, it's high and fun.

As an architect and tourist this beautiful tower rates right up there. Personally I drew this building as part of my portfolio to get into architecture school. It was great to come full circle and see this beauty by OMA with my own eyes. The city has developed incredibly since then, but it's still a modern marvel with it's cantilevered office floors. China really does make you feel like anything is possible!

The CCTV Tower is a graceful and at the same time monumental 234 m high skyscraper, which differs in its type from the usual shapes of such buildings and shows a radical design. They are two skyscrapers that are at an angle to each other, but are seamlessly connected with a tapered, horizontal 75 m long spur. The facade itself, which is drawn with line patterns, forms a visual manifestation of the building structure. The monument was completed in 2009 after five years of construction.
The building is an expression of modern architecture, which also gained a foothold in Beijing.
