I have been seeing Dr. Boas for a long time. His office is like family. If you want a doctor who treats you and your child as a person and not just another number he is the doctor for you. He takes the time to get to know you and figure out what the problem is. The appointments are longer because he tries.to find a solution and not just toss medication at the problem.
Dr. Boas is an incredible doctor. While the appointments can be lengthy, we have never felt rushed out of the office. Dr. Boas, and his staff, ensure that all our questions are answered before we leave. He takes extra time to explain our treatment options and why he believes it's the best option.
If I can give them 0 stars I would. All the doc cares about making sure you make an office visit for everything so he can get his deducitble and is a prescription writing junky. He also has a ghetto like staff member that makes every excuse to not give you your records when you are there citing, "Oh the records are not here, they are located elsewhere", yet Boas and his staff just reviewed the records when they saw my child. They would not print them out while I was there because they wanted their $15 per page nonsense and wanted to charge me another administrative fee. This doc and his staff are horrible and should not be in business. There are plenty of alternatives and all this guy wants to do is prescribe drugs. Check out Northwestern, Amita etc.... We went to 2 other docs and they both said there was no need for the 6+ months of drugs we have been giving our child. Dont let the address of being in Glenview fool you. Find other reputable docs and staff members who really want to help you and not his un-educated ghetto admin staff.
Dr. Boas is the best of the best. My son is one of those rare and very odd cases. Dr. Boas has treated my son for 13 years. He has been there, done that. He has seen the weirdest of the weird when it comes to kids lung issues. He has been there with us post-op when things looked grim. He has been there in emergency situations. He even helps my son over the phone now that he is in college. He is like family to us. His office is wonderful and we will never go anywhere else!
I have been taking my child to Dr Boas since he was born for the last 10 years. Dr Boas in the staff are terrific and they do a great job with my child. Their expertise in asthma and other pulmonology related diseases are expert. Their appointments are thorough and they have a lot of advanced technology that is used to measure people's lung function. I enjoy our visits.
